This year's election was all fucked up from beginning anyways. At work, i see a lot of black guys wearing "OBAMA" shirt. And i ask them,"Why do you support him?" Most of there responses is somewhat close to this "Because hes Black" bullshit.50-80% of his vote came from ignorant people like that. I'm not saying I'm disappointed he got voted, it just makes me mad that most of these OBAMA supporters don't even take the time to actually know who there voting for.
:idb:
Jamie, I respect you and how you presented your sentiments on the situation.
However, one person is not exemplary of the millions who voted for Obama.
I just want to add also that for every ignorant Obama supporter that can be found, there's an equally ignorant Mccain supporter.
wow. good shit. like i said...8 out of 10. fucking retarted.Originally Posted by Jaimecbr900

Exactly my point jaime.. too many people were basing the vote for obama on Change or hes black.. or anything BUT his policies.. Im not saying EVERYONE who voted for Obama is that way.. just alot.
He has four years to prove himself to the nation that elected him, and that will determine if all these people WHO WANT OR NEED CHANGE made the right decision.

Also, the Black vote doesn't account significantly for Obama winning the votes in states significantly populated by Whites.
No, but I'm sure several million voters had no idea what Obama was about. They just voted because he was Democrat/black/Not McCain or whatever reason. They probably had no idea what he was about.Originally Posted by BobbyFresh

People are putting so much emphasis on the Black vote getting Obama elected that they seem to miss that Blacks alone didn't get the job done and that people voted for Mccain for any number of reasons that didn't involve his platform.

No not at all. I'm sure people that voted for McCain probably had just as dumb ass asinine reasons for doing it, when they had no clue what he was about. And if you are mixed with black no matter how diluted if you have the traits you are still black. Sad but true

How's that for shunning?
i agree with you and only time will tell. we had many bush discusses prior to this in previous election. Reps have failed to connect w/ the majority of the US. However you want to dissect that go ahead. McCain had to face America for his party and Bush failed service. People are tied of their current situations and want to believe in something... not saying its right or wrong but it is what it is.Originally Posted by Jaimecbr900

- black listener on the Bert Show
Listener: " i cant believe you guys just cant be thankful and happy that we will now have our first African American president"
Jeff: “I’m very excited that i live in a country that could elect its first black candidate, but i just dont think he is qualified and many ppl were dooped into voting for him"
Listener: " Dooped!? i Take offense to that.....calling someone stupid for voting for Obama.......how can you say that when your Candidate, senator McCain Has been to Jail!! JAIL JEFF!!.....so they can just let anyone be president now!"
Jeff: Dooped doesn’t mean “stupid”......wait.......Jail?.................... .. ...are you referring to POW? ........ok I’ve had enough with this lady........bye *click*....now that is an example of stupidity people"
Then they proceeded to take a phone interview with Tyler Perry a very well known and influential Producer/screen writer/director etc
The guy is 39 yrs old and it was his first time voting, because he feels like his vote and I quote “Will Actually mean something this year”
he obviously voted Obama, then proceeds to talk about how " he didn’t know he had to make 30 more votes that day, and just voted democrat down the line" the chick host on the radio was already crying out of frustration at the stupidity they had already dealt with before hand....but lost it here... balling over the radio trying to tell this man how much of a fucking moron he was …..its sad how much of an influence this mans opinion made to other potential voters
This is not just ONE person making this example....its everywhere. I'm not saying there aren’t ill informed white voters out there only voting for ______, because said person is of that same color.....but in EVERY discussion I have even witnessed or been involved in I have seen race/color involved. Fact is, a HUGE percentage voted for Obama simply because he was black, many voting for the first time in their life.......while most knowing little to nothing about his political agenda
I did not vote McCain either.......

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I think people shouldn't continue to be upset that Obama won, the fact of the matter is, he is your pres. now and you just got to respect that. Hopefully he can prove himself to everyone that doubted him.

Should I start splitting hairs by posting ignorant examples of White Mccain supporters?
I mean, seriously.
We get it. People are ignorant. On both sides. Every race, color, ethnicity, culture, and religion.
What about all the people that voted for Mccain because Obama is the Anti-Christ?
Or because he's Black?
Or because his name is different and so therefore he must be a terrorist?
Or because he's Muslim?
Or because he's going to take your hard earned 15k a year and give it to poor people that sit on their asses and collect wellfare?
Give me a break w/ all this.
It is what it is.
Be as upset as you want about it. You have that right.
Won't change anything though.
he officially has declared himself black, i have had this same argument that he was of mixed racial background before with the idiots of wikipedia, and they pointed out were he claimed his blackness, but i cant log back into my acct to get those sources for you cause they have banned me.Originally Posted by Dirty Octopus™

His mother and his father is none of your concern, that man's ethnicity is what he claims it to be.. not what you deem it.Originally Posted by redrumracer
