my opinion is not based on race.. by any means. plus obama is a melting pot of races.. which allows him to reach more people. however, i do not feel he has the experience to do the job as well as mccain could have. also, as stated above, there are several other issues he supports that i am strongly against. i mean even his running mate had some hesitations with the way obama will be able to deal with situations.

we don't have any other choice but to give him a chance so i just hope and pray that he will be able to get through the challenges that come with running this country.

i beg to differ. he's stated that being dark in complexion thats all people see. how can he NOT identify with his White half? he was raised by the white side of his family. but in the eye of the public he appears to be simply lightskinned. if anything THE PUBLIC shuns his other half. NOT him

he officially has declared himself black, i have had this same argument that he was of mixed racial background before with the idiots of wikipedia, and they pointed out were he claimed his blackness, but i cant log back into my acct to get those sources for you cause they have banned me.

I would've banned you too, who are you to declare his ethnicity? I have a woman in my Spanish class who looks like Katherine Heigl (sp) Blonde and white as can be but she claims to be dominican. Give it up, the man is black.

no the man ethnicity is based off of what his parents ARE. and by what your saying if i want t be black i can? even tho both of my parents are white and of European descent

My great, great grandfather was 100% Cheyenna Indian ( Native American)......you tell that to the Board of education when i fill out my grant/scholorship paperwork. If thats the case i should have no issues if i just Claim that as an ethnicity, right?
