ADN that was 2 days after they told everyone to leave to nowhere. They siad monday, that there were "troops" on the way, to evacuate. Didnt they just get there today? And when they came they didnt know what too do.. ONly utnil General Honore got there did anythign happen thank god. We all know that the US has the ability to get stuff done, for 3 days there was nothing.. ther was soem rescue, but soem shit this bad happens...it should have been more.. a whole city destroyed cmon.
the buses got in there because they have been clearing a path for days to be able to bring them through. they can't call the buses until they clear a path... hell a fucking monster truck couldn't have gotten through most of those roads. again, the people causing trouble were not helping the situation at all. they had to go in and make the area safe for anyone to even attempt to rescue people because of dumbasses with guns thinking it would be fun to shoot at rescuers. there were national guard helicopters in there after the winds slowed enough to get them there and they were performing rescues immediately. problem is they don't keep a stockpile of national guard helicopters right next to NO, and only a few choppers can share the same airspace at a time. you have to look at the size of the area affected, NO is at the southern end of a long path of destruction. it's not like the storm only blocked the road within city limits or an immediate 10 mile radius, it was hundreds of miles of trashed roads to make passable for large equipment and supply chains.
