I'm praying for Leisa and I will continue praying for her and the family. I may try and come out there this weekend.

Hey brett, She's going to make it. She is going to come back even stronger than ever, knowing she can make it through whatever life throws at her. I mean, somebody has to keep you straight right? (jk, trying to lighten the mood a little). Still in my prayers and everyone else's that I've talked to. Thanks for the update, glad she is showing signs of improvement! Wish I could make it up to the hospital to show my support...

good to hear!!! I know she will pull through this, i mean its leisa! she is in my prayers. i set in my car yesterday on my break for classes looking towards Northside( i was at the dunwoody perimeter) and said numerous prayers. Northside is a very god hospital i have had multiple brain surgeries there and they are great people. she will pull through!

Latest update:

Last night, Leisa responded to our conversation....(don't yall wish yall knew what she and I talked about.....

). So much so, that she had to be sedated a little to bring her heart beat, which went from 98 to 108, back down and make her relax. We're taking that as a "good" sign. She had a little swelling on her brain, which was some cause of concern, but they started medication to control that right away. By the time we left, it was back down to the acceptable level. Again, "good" news.

This morning, situation was relatively unchanged, which again is better than the alternative. They did discover a slightly elevated level of something in her kidneys, but the results of that will not be in until later this afternoon. I don't think this is cause to be alarmed right now either, but we'll know for sure when the results come in later today.

She is relaxed and still responding to certain people. Brett is continuing his bedside vigil and will be there all weekend long. Anyone wanting to visit with him is welcomed to. Please make note of the visiting hours and gauge accordingly.

Prayers are STILL NEEDED, so let's keep that going. Financial help is STILL NEEDED, so keep that coming too. Overall support has been fantastic, so KEEP THAT COMING TOO.

I'll keep everyone updated.

Within a few days they will wean her off sedation to see if she will come out of the Coma, But we are not close to being out of the woods, Her brain has to allow her to wake up, and that still is a big concern if it will happen. But tonight I think the prayers you all are doing and the support to all who came out (I couldnt take many of you in there to see her due to it would put stress on her brain and body, I told her how many people and who was out there, and as loud as they all were, maybe she heard them)

IA, You have totally blown me away with your support for me and my wife in a time when I am scred to death I am going to loose her. Thank you for ALL your support.

Brett, i know that we don't know each other that well, but when i read your post it just bring me tears... We will prayer for your family daily and hope this will pass like it never happen. G/L buddy.

Latest update:

Ms. Leisa's condition hasn't changed, which again is rather "good" news, but something really cool happened today.......

A nurse was trying to apply something to the inside of her mouth, and Leisa lifted up her arm and tried to swat it away!!!!! So that is awesome news!!!!!

Leisa tried to pimp slap the nurse........WORD!!!!!

The prayers and thoughts are working folks. Keep it up.

I really feel for her family! I went through the exact same thing last year with a loved one, and it was the absolute hardest time of my life. My wishes and thoughts go out to her and her family.

Okay guys, I can post a little this weekend while here, Pat is letting me borrow is laptop here since I didnt think to bring mine when I got here again this morning.

No new updates yet, I wish I could tell you all she is better and awake. God I wish I could report that. They still cant tell me she will awaken from this, All I can do is pray and hope.

You all have no idea what your thoughts and well wishes have meant to me and I am sure to Leisa, I have told her all about you guys and I am sure if she can hear me she is inside smiling.

You all are the best.

I think i speak for everyone by saying, thanks so much for keeping us so informed, if you dont post it up, you get someone else to. she has been in my prayers all day everyday. i also got my grandparents and thier church to pray for her/you and both your familys. i would love to come up and give support but i would feel very weird with me not knowing you, but i will def. be sending a card up for her. all WILL go well brett, just keep your head up and stay strong. if you need anything at all please just ask.
