the look of a shop doesn't necessarily mean bad business. a buddy of mine started out painting cars out of his garage in a crappy little house. the difference comes in your work and business ethics. he would not let a car leave until it was perfect, and he would verify with the customer before he let anything go. if they had concerns, he did whatever it took to make it right even if it seemed unreasonable at times. his work was stunning on a bad day, but he had a perfectionist attitude because that's what customers expect. needless to say he's still in business just in a real deal shop and still turning out amazing work.
