I'm curious as to exactly how one acts "white" or "black"...Care to explain?

and using your logic with the car subject, your white buddy down the street would be emulating something else as well bec asians started the practice of modifying Japanese cars and using Volk wheels and such....

Thats all dependent on what you as the individual views as "black" or "white". I myself dont believe any one style, personality trait, way of life, etc is derived from any one race alone...there are MANY other factors.

I just wanted you to explain your p.o.v on what that meant, is all....

Crossing the plain of racial normalcy into something DIFFERENT, is never a bad thing imo. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If ppl stopped for a second and started caring less about how ppl act, what they wear, what they eat, how they talk, who they are seen with, that music they enjoy, where they are from etc....the world would be a much more tolerable place

My issue is when ppl claim that I'm acting white( both black and white) because I speak proper English or because I have interests that aren't typical of black culture, etc.....as if those issues are proprietary of the white culture....

This is the reason why ebonics and other issues have been allowed to get as far as they have in our society....

To say there are blacks that "act white" is plain dumb, people are a product of their environment. I grew up in Alaska around a lot of whites, listen to alternative, speak proper english.. am I trying to be white or did I just have an upbringing that is rarely afforded to blacks? There is no set trend for races, you take a black guy from Germany and I guarantee he acts completely different than what is stereotypical, its the people who hold on to those stereotypes that are ignorant.

Also on the smelly dog thing lol all I can say is me and a cousin used to always joke on that, of course nobody will come in here and state "yeah we smell like dogs" but honestly.. my opinion falls in line with Brian's, sorry.

And on Barack, I've stated this time and time again. If the democratic party garners 90% of the black vote in presidential elections, what is the damn difference when Barack (the democratic candidate) gets the same percentage of the black vote? Are they voting for him because he's black or thats how blacks usually vote? Something to think about.

Agreed 100% could carless on what ever else you said, cuz... well i really could care less about the way some one smells as long as when i say "get out of my face you stink" they do it.

I am white, as white as they get other than the blond hair blue eyes. (dark brown almost black strait thick as **** hair, and Hazel almost green eyes, IF YOU HAD TO KNOW), I am some what dateing a "mix" girl, (father black, mother white german) she pretty much listens to grung, ya know deftones, and **** like that. so it is all about were you grow up and your own personal tasts.

my mom hates the fact im dateing her, but not as much when she found out i was dateing a jewish girl... o.0
