i find it amazing out of the 15-20 wrx/sti's there only one didn't look stock lol

i guess ill reply to this since most of the wrx guys your talkin about dont post over here. most of us dont have ass loads of cash to spend on our rides, but we support each other. we were there at 10am till 5pm with 20 plus cars the whole time. stock or not! btw most of us have mods just not rotated setups. i guess it takes a rotated to be not stock huh? most of us auto cross so a rotated turbo has too much lag for that kinda racing. the bolt ons go under the heatshield so for a avrage person i could understand why they all think its stock. im not gonna fall for the droolin thing again. you can read attn jt money and see how i feel about being told i was droolin.

its cool i'm not knocking anyone individually i don't even know you guys, but for those talking shit its quite funny... "oh he won't even pop his hood", so we moved the car closer for the guys to get a closer look... its not about how much money you spend or what you have done to begin with but if your going to talk shit atleast have something to back it up

I'm not talking shit just trying to educate.

You do understand that with a rotated kit you could put any turbo you wanted on your car. So saying that a rotated kit spools slow is kind of crazy.
It just so happens that Jason and I both run Large turbos, so they do in fact "spool" slow. I can assure you that at gt30r or a gt3071 does not spool slowly on an sti, and would be a great autocross setup.

By the way, you will have to confirm this with Dan or Tracy, but I belive that Batlgrounds rotated kit is under $2500.

But aren't most rotated kits installed with bigger turbos? That's the trend that I see at least.

And with the rotated kit you'd have the FMIC which tends to add a bit of lag, doesn't it? Though I've seen more than a handfull of auto-x cars with front mounts.

I'm pretty new to turbocharged cars, though, feel free to correct me.

Most people that have rotated setups seem to install larger turbos. However, one of the great things about a rotated setup is that you can use any turbo you want. We are going to have two turbos for the suby one for the Track(road atlanta) and one for the track(Commerce).

Yep the frontmount is laggy, lol, about 200rpms. You can run a top mount with a rotated setup very easily. I'm sure that Dan at Batlground would be happy to build it for you.

I'm not sure how much work Batlground has done with the '05 Legacy... though it's not like it's much different than working on a Sti, I guess.

But that's beside the point, I have been expressly forbidden from doing the Deadbolt TD0620G swap I was meticulously planning out for weeks.

A Precision GT30R or a 3071 on the 2.5 would be very nice, both should spool as fast or almost as fast as the 20g and make more power, the 3071 should be able to make 360-370hp on pump gas.

I think that's what I was told to expect from a TD0620G with deadbolt's treatment, give or take.

I'd need all sorts of crap, though, which is what makes it prohibitively expensive.. new TMIC, injectors, fuel pump, maybe Sti manifold (though the composite one on the legacy is sturdy IMO), etc. etc.

Now if I had an SRT-4 that would cost like $12.50 but aftermarket parts Subarus tend to be expensive, even more so for '05 Legacy-specific stuff. :/

If that was the wife, then just remember,

It was actually more like 11 am, lolol. I was there at 9:50 until 12:30. I watched all ya'll damn near roll in at the same time. It looked cool, actually. I saw one short dude by a wagon that had an IA sticker on a back quarter window. The car was blue and was parked near the beginning of the row. Later, QD.
