Some people say the "soul" of the car is gone because it doesn't have a Porsche motor. I say lets line up on the highway. Let's compare lap times. Keep your "soul". If "soul" is mediocre outdated performance with 6 times the cost, then f it. I enjoy fast, crazy, different, and most of all fun. I could not afford the upkeep on a stock 911 turbo swap plus it would be slower. This car from 5k to 11k is balls out scary. Boost + Old School 911 = Cool no matter how you do it.Originally Posted by green91
I mean I understand but have you ever driven a stock 2.7 911? Slow as ****. Plus the headstuds crack and a decent stock rebuild for "moderate" performance at best will cost 5k plus to do it right.Originally Posted by quickdodge®
A German dude invented the rotary and I think had there been more research done into them back then a lot more cars would come with them especially sports cars. Torque doesnt matter when you weigh this little. Thats the combo thats so different from the GVR4. I had torque but I was heavy. The 911 has great power, a NICE powerband and weighs nothing.
I was never a fan of cross branding either. But given the fact its either slow 911 or quick FD. Hmmm how about a quick old 911? When you go for a ride and you are thrown in your seat, you aren't thinking "Well too bad this isnt an air cooled 2.7" you're thinking "HOLY **** I CANT STOP SMILING!"
Lolol. I see where you're at with this. And I can only imagine the quickness it has now over stock. And I wouldn't be a fan of old school Porsches if I hadn't ever driven one (lolol). And I'll say it one more goddamn time.....overall props. Lolol. Later, QD.Originally Posted by 1439/2000
