I worked for QT before I went to Racetrac.. I started at QT when I was 16 PT and started going to college.. Saw the potential in the Retail business.. left college went full time with qt when I was 18, Became a 2nd assistant with them, back in 97 made 38 k that year, at 18 thats alot of $$$ Thats the lowest Income I have earned since.
But QT had to much politics for me.. RT offer more money.. and damn they are much more laidback and take more care of you.

i worked at the one off pleasant hill and cruse rd. it was a while back maybe 5 years ago. at the time they paid me 9.00 and hour and gas prices were really low like 89-99cents a gallon.it was crazy busy and very difficult to stay focused, that type of job is alot harder than most people think.it drains you mentally, well me anyway.Originally Posted by Julio

Yeah man, retail is not for everyone, I really enjoy it though fast pace.. you have to be on your P's and Q's at all times and When I leave the store I dont have to worry about shit, I try to develop my employees to handle everything or any situation that comes up.
Also the pay is tight atleast at my level.
I know Clerk pay is nothing to brag about but it competetive for that market.
