In addition, I'm no sharpshooter, but when a life is threatened, you're not taking the time to line up one shot, pull the trigger, readjust, and fire again. For the most part your firing a round as soon as the gun is pointed in that man's direction. I go to the range frequently. I know my rifle, and I know my pistol. One-shot rounds I can hit my target, or within an inch of it from a good distance. Burst firing is when distance plays a BIG part...
