thats sad. i wish the driver died instead of the passenger. at least they didnt kill anyone else. street racing deaths do seem to happen in slower cars. i think it's because teens tend to be driving slow cars. also, teens probably account for the majority of street racing deaths due to their immaturity/lack of skill behind the wheel.

dude im not asking anyone to feel sorry they made a stupid decision and im not arguing about that. all im saying is that some motherfukkers in here should show some respect when someone dies, especially at such a young age. and no ppl wont move on in an hour and forget about it. he has family and friends that cared about him and its not that easy to just forget about someone especially when a tragic death was involved.

The boy in the passanger seat was Zoheb Samani... he was my girlfrieds sisters fiances little brother.. i had just met him at church Saturday night.. i really dont know much about what happened so i have no comment at this point all i know is that his funeral is tommorow..

Zoheb was in the red mazda sitting in the passanger seat and was found dead at the scene.. the driver of that vehicle is still in serious condition and everyone else involved is okay.. the police havent been able to prove whether STREET RACING actually was the cause of the accident but they are still investigating..

ive known these kids since they were in diapers and they are very good kids.. imho everyone makes mistakes.. i was fortunate to learn the hard way when i turned sixteen and got my license suspended..

imo that probably saved my life..

okay.. thats not what im standing up for and arguing against... its about how heartless ppl can be.. i mean these are kids!! they arent smart.. denye it all you want but we were all at that stage! IMO the only ppl that "should perish" are the ones who intentionally kill someone..

lol.... im heartless because i dont feel bad for people who clearly chose to do what they did. Am i innocent of previous life actions? No. Deciding when to haul ass does make a difference in the risk of ****ing up. Does that make it right? **** no.

I drive through that area quite often, its a BUSY area.....anyone going through there at those speeds is asking for trouble.

To be able to make it across that median and still have enough momentum to destroy a car takes more then the speed limit..... even slightly over the speed limit. Either way, to be killed in a accident in a modern day car takes serious force. If the kid was wearing his seatbelt, then to have a fatal amount of face takes a lot, even not wearing a seatbelt with all of todays airbags, crumple zones etc..., it still takes a hard hit.

I also see it as, if the cars were not racing and that if the 6 was far enough behind to see the accident and swerve to avoid, they would have had ample time to stand on the brakes and have a small impact if not none at all. If the 6 was not that far behind, it would have been likely to get tagged by the Accord....... assuming they were going +/- the speed limit. But the case is the 6 went over a median (more then likely).

As for the 96 Accord being at fault, bullsh!t. If one factor of the whole equation was missing, nothing would have happened. But because the 6 and the new accord somehow got into a contest of speed (one had to have instigated the other), they were where they should not have been if they had been driving at normal speeds. Now, if it was proven that the 6 and the new Accord were just minding their own business and going the speed limit when the 96 Accord pulled out in front of the newer Accord, then things would have been totally different and the carnage/massive about of debris would NOT have been there.

    Here are the pics...

Yeah I saw the pics. It was definitely a rather violent collision. As for this not happening if they were traveling 45-50 mph, I'm not convinced. I agree with you that if they were traveling at slower speeds the cars would have been more recoverable but, you must always consider the skill (or lack there of) of the drivers in question. I've seen cars on their sides &/or totaled from accidents at these speeds so, the 96 Accord could have set off the same series of events even if the cars in question weren't racing.

Again, I'm just playing devil's advocate at this point. I'm not saying Street Racing wasn't involved. I am saying this accident could have occurred without the added element of Street Racing and, I wanted to know if the Mazda & Accord Coupe were really racing or not. From what I initially saw/heard I couldn't tell.

THIS WAS NOT A STREET RACE

IOnlyLookStock was working at the Starbucks directly infront of where the accident happened and it was not a street race but simply somebody pulling out when they shouldn't have, coupled with other speeding (not racing, but speeding) that caused this tragedy.

To all those who said "so and so should have died", shame on you for wishing death upon people when you don;t have your ****ing facts straight. The whole situation was a tragedy and instead of wishing for death, you should have been wishing for life. ASS-HOLES!

true, but it's not them who gets effect by this...it is us who have to do our daily business in the area get affected by it. Every fuucking time when i am in my GSR or WRX...i always manage to get a cop behind me....doing what? nothing but normal driving and minding my own business. They do the crime and all of us have to pay for it. I feel bad that a young kid lost his life over BS like this and have my prayers with his family, but i hope every time someone pulls stupid shiit likes this...they pay for their own mistakes....not by death, but something they'll remember rest of their lives. I am sure that kids classmater/family will think twice before pulling something like this again. I hope i don't see another "speed kills teen" article in newspaper for sometime now.
Awesome...before i could go on late night drives when i felt like it and now i'll have to worry about cops giving me **** in lville, s'ville area, but after typing all that....I don't really wanna complain i'd rather see harsh cops than dead teens.

IMHO if it wasnt street racing and thats a prety big if then its tragic. and regardless of whether or not it was racing he was speeding and the driver should have to pay some kind of consequence whether it be time or no licesne or community service probation or a combination of all of them will be up to the judge. but at the same time i will not feel bad for the driver if after he gets out of the hospital and get his liscense back(which by law he can do all he has to do is go pick it up) he continues to do the same **** that got him into that mess. when my buddy died the guy that was driving got out got his liscense and I WITNESSED him do 100+ down a simalar road on which he had the accident that killed the passenger.

    Case in point: Danny Heatly

He got out of the hospital made a formal apology and is now taking care of the family of the victim. He got heavy fines had to do community service and was on probation. He has become an advocate against such dangerous activity. Now that is what should come out of something like this.

Well put your ****ty opinion in another thread then. I honestly think this thread should be locked because it slanders the victims involved in this horrible situation of misjudgement.

I'm sure if you ran out to help get people out of their cars only to see some 16yo kid torn in half like my friend had to. You'd sing a different ****ing tune.

Loganville also has tons of straight empty roads where you could run 200mph if you wanted to. Street racing out here isn't a big deal becuase there is a lack of cars once you really get into Walton County. And if there are cars all you and the person you are racing has to do is slow down to 45mph for a little bit or just pull to the side of the road until cars leave.

Lawrenceville is a different story. There are shopping centers, cars, people, red lights, turns, etc everywhere and they are all full of traffic.

Street Racing in Traffic = Bad
Street racing on empty roads = Go for it

Unfortunately, people don't care about facts. They simply believe whatever the news sensationalizes for ratings.
