not trying to "correct you" per say, but that's one thing i've always questioned... not all but most people that are mixed, rarely claim being white... like a half black half white person normally considers themselves to be black.... and will call themselves an african american.... well what about that irish blood runnin in ur veins, or that german, or scottish..... the part that came from your white parent?
again since i'm not mixed, i don't know the reason behind this? is it easier because your skin is darker... or if you're part asian, your eyes are slanted a bit more.. and you have dark hair....

maybe you're right, but there was a lot more to the post and the over all question then just your situation.... and the statement you quoted... it's kinda more like how can you call your "black" child "black" when it's half white... it's a false statement... they are just as much white as they are black right? same thing with any other mixed race... if you were black, and asian... or mexican and white.
