No thanks, not looking for a typical vacation. I'm packing a duffel with clothes and necessities, but that's it. I want to see how far I get on my own, and also what I might find along the way.

i haven't read the whole thread but if the VA is paying you 500$ a month move to a country where that is alot of money... for instance Argentina their economy sucks, but american $$$ are great there. 500 u$ = 1500 peso which buys alot... you can get a place for like 250$ a month all to your self... 500$ a month + what ever you can do in that country could (teach english) = pretty nice living status

I wouldn't call a world cruise a typical vacation, over 100 days, stops in almost if not every major country in the world. Can definitely experience a lot of culture and what not.

Not even feasible. Transportation fees, then time for delivery, then registration, getting a license, ect...

Besides, driving around in a car defeats the whole purpose on walking around the country. That's what makes things like this so meaningful to the person doing it. Making it on your own steam, going as far as you can push yourself personally. That's what it means to me anyway. Maybe I've just got my head too far in the clouds, but whatever.
