    Default LS/VTEC Head gasket

Which head gasket will i need? A VTEC HEADGASKET or LS HEADGASKET? My last project I bought the Golden Eagle Kit, but I don't want to spend the extra money when i have everything except the headgasket. THANKS IA

you can use the factory ls or b20 (whichever applies) but youll have to modify it, or get offset dowel pins

Please dont give bad advice. I wouldn't put cometic on my Lawn Mower.

Golden Eagle takes OEM headgaskets and CNC machines them to work perfect with their LSVTEC conversion dowels. Otherwise, you can use an LS headgasket (for an 81mm-82mm bore) or a VTEC headgasket (for an 81mm-82mm bore) and take a dremel and open up the dowel holes on the exhaust side (to fit the LSVTEC Conversion dowels) a tad to let the dowel fit in it. Just take your time, ive been doing this for 6 or 7 years everytime and its never failed...takes literally 2 or 3 mins to do it. If using 83mm to 85mm you need to get the B20 Headgasket if you are wanting an OEM one to work off of.

You are not wrong either. I would use oem headgasket if it's std. bore. The std. b20 headgasket is 84mm, they do not make anything bigger for the b20. But you can use the b20 headgasket, if the bore is 84.5mm, I've done it. Like I stated with RBS, anything 85mm +, I rather use cometic headgasket. Anything std. bore I used oem ones. You guys aren't wrong, it's what you prefer.

Nothing is wrong using cometic headgasket. But he never stated what bore he is using. But your right about custom size, I also build engine, I usually use cometic head gasket when the bore is 85mm +.

whats wrong with cometic headgaskets? golden eagle gaskets are BS, i've used cometic gaskets numerous times on all motor engines between 82-86 mm with zero issues, but then again your a boost head so i really wouldnt know what happens on your side of the planet.

nothing is stronger than the honda MLS gasket in our applications, boost or all motor. Of course all motor is more forgiving in the realm of blowing headgaskets though. I've never blown a headgasket other the the time several years ago when a sleeve sank.
