actually thats a pretty acurate link. its all basic wiring red (+), black (-)...run the power n ground like you would. then there should be a purple wire which you can either connect to the signal wire for your o2 sensor or you could just extend the wire to your o2 sensor wire in the engine bay.

then go buy a EGT gauge my friend or put your a/f wire to your ecu wire that reads the 02 sensor but even then its going to read the same thing so if u dont want to hook it up to the 02 then get a EGT gauge

02 sensor its going to read the same thing cuz if u think about it the wire from the 02 going to the ECU so its going to read the same air/fuel

just hook it up to the o2 sensor.....its not dangerous or anything...thats what mines hooked up to....whoever told you to stay away from the o2 sensor might not know what gauge your putting in or doesn't know what they are doing

I've always hooked the up the purple wire to the O2 signal wire. Use a T-tap or the like. Find where the O2 sensor signal wire plugs into the wiring harness and tap in there. No need to be right by sensor.

^^^ foreal...try doing it the right way first. i hooked mine directly to the o2 only because i couldnt find another way and got tired of waiting to install. it worked fine but still looked half assed.

O2 SENSOR. why run to the ecu? just get a multimeter to figure out wich of the 3 or 4 wires is signal, green is signal on some hondas. if you know how to do clean install with wires, it will look just fine to all the 2 inch high people walkin under your car inspecting the wiring. good luck, its an easy install. wire it in above the 02 harness, or into the top part of the harness. will save ya trouble if you have to yank the 02 sensor. 02 sensors are fairly usless, so have fun with the anoying lights.lol..
