you guys arent gonna believe me and this fine but im about to drop some PERSONAL experience on ya.

my dad did a test on what was his daily a few years back. 02 chevy 1500 4.3L VORTEC automatic. he ran 2 FULL tanks of....

87 oct
91 oct
93 oct

through his healthy truck with like 40k miles on it. all grades of gas were from amco(sp?) gas stations. he calculated his MPG for each grade of gas. amco ultimate 93 oct gave him such a better MPG that it actually made 93 oct cheaper in the long run. the price difference in the grade of gas was out weighed by the increase in MPG.

he had everything written down and i was at his car lot when everything was added up. looks at my for sale thread for my 98 chevy blazer that i sold about a month ago....

1998 BLAZER 4 DR 2WD/CLEAN/RELIABLE/LOTS OF NEW SUSPENSION PARTS
