Default rebuilding a gsr with nitrous in mind

i have a b18c that spun a rod bearing and i am about to rebuild it. the original plan was just to rebuild it back to stock but if i was planing to put it on a bottle is there anything i should do different in the rebuild process ? if it does go on the bottle it wouldn't be a huge shot, nothing larger then 50-75 max. i know zero about nitrous so any advice would be appreciated

Why would you do that? You'll just end up having to spray more just to get it to run. The more compression, the less you're going to have to spray.

Expand the ring gap accordingly. And if you plan on spraying a lot, don't use a moly coated top ring.

If that is all you are truely going to spray, you really don't have to do anything out of the ordinary.

    have fun running a 17 sec 1/4mile.

personally, i'd up the compression just a little bit, maybe a metal head gasket.
is it a wet or dry shot?

75 wet shot on a stock gsr will be fine as long as you dont get trigger happy.

I would at least get it tuned for spray.

Hit triple digits or shut up! 100 wet shot or bust!.....Kidding its your car.

Higher compression, If you plan on going higher you want to get a nice set of rings! Head gasket and TUNE TUNE TUNE!!!!

Oh yeah, also get a nice TUNE!!!!

Don't forget to tune your car on Nitrous as well....

Anything above a 50 shot, a tune would be recommended. I believe the timing should be retarded by 1-1.5 every 50 shot of nitrous too. I'm not sure 100% about the internal work with pistons, rings etc but I do know that I'm running 10.5:1 compression CP pistons and I believe my ring gap is set to have a little extra space too; which explains why my motor burns about a 1 QT of oil every 1K miles.

    LOL ..
The timing calculation isn't really accurate, but for that little amount of nitrous, that calculation should be up to par.
