there should be a slot on the instrument cluster or a button to press in on there. you have an eg? also is it the maint required or the check engine?

well if it is on a DC integra. underneath the plastic panel under the steering wheel is a button on the middle to right side. feel down the panel and u will find it. once u find it. hold it down and turn the key to the on position, do not start and hold till the maint light goes out.
