try aluminum foil or cut some spacers out of a coke can, or get the next size up in bearings. b sure to polish the journal with emery cloth sand paper about 400 grit. but when the bearing spun it probably egged out and stretched the rod if they stacked up then it wont last 30 seconds maybe a little longer. good luck...
