    Default ls vtec torque spec

    i need help with torque spec on rod bolts and main bearing bolts ... also need head bolts spec on a ls vtec with gsr arp head bolts..

    it would be the same as the book says. look it up. its not as hard as you are trying to make it. they are not different. gl.

    you mean ARP head studs? those you're suppose to tighten into the block hand tight, so use the allen key and tighten and when it gets tight, turn it a 1/3 of a turn counterclockwise so it isn't too tight. And just tighten the nuts on the studs the same torque spec.

    look it up. just use the stock torque specs.

    if your using stock LS rodbolts and mainbolts . . its going to be Mainbolts ( 51 lbs ) Rodbolts ( 23 lbs ), arp headstuds for GSR? hit up arp and see the process of installing them

    ARP HEadstuds are 70 ft/lbs

    Mains IIRC is 51ft/lbs

    Rod Bolts should be 29ft/lbs if they are ARP

    main bearing caps torque to 56 ft lbs in b18a/b
