    If you kno what the hell your doing you can do it w/out havin to do it again in a year. me personally, i'd Rivet the holes shut, sand em flush, use a little spot puddy to smooth it out, and be done.

    I've been doing this sort of thing for years. I know the ins and outs of it. Weld it shut, then finish on top of it.
