    How about in a 00 civic ex? Is that gonig to leave holes or not?

    Whether it leaves them or not, you've now been given sure fire ways to take care of them. I'd just go ahead and give it a shot. If it does leave holes and you don't feel like fixing them, put some 2 part epoxy, or emblem glue on it, and stick it back on.
