MkII's are the best ones IMO. The later generations are heavy and are meant to be cruisers. They just don't feel as tight and nimble as the MkII. And the more advanced engine management brings with it a hose of reliability problems. MkIV guys in the forums are getting CEL's every other week. And the MkIV's also had issues with recalls etc. And the availability on used parts is pretty much zero, which means you have to depend on the dealer, and most VW dealers (I'm looking @ you Jim Ellis) are the suck.
As to what I don't like about the other cars, its the whole JDM thing. The rounded bodies just don't look to be as cleanly styled. And the engines don't have any torque. And I don't like that low down seating position that Honda/Acura use. The final straw is I hate the "ricer" culture that is all about body kits and altezzas and wings with stock engines, or engines that don't match the level of modifiaction as the body. If you're going to have more scoops and wings than a goddamn Lambo, you should have more engine than a Lambo. [/rant]
Edit: you said "makes" so I thought you meant the other manufacturers. Did you actually mean "marks" as in MkI, MkII, MkIII, and emm-kay 4?
