Note: I hate Mk5's. Too round, too heavy, they kinda look like eggs.

LOL at a MK4 driver calling a MK5 a pig. I think its only like 240 lbs heavier or something with a more powerful engine.

Yeah I know. But I am getting real sick of this bigger car more powerful engine concept. VW GTIs are about using a smaller platform and a small engine to perofrm like bigger cars. Now GTI's are becoming those bigger cars.

    If I had an Mk3 I'd say the same about a mk4.

I'm a MkII owner and I say that about all the gens. I guess they can't ALL be MkII's

And about the MkII's lines looking "old"... thats why I love them. The boxy design is so clean it's just timeless. The MkIII to me just looks like the "fat Elvis" version of a MkII.

see you guys at Durtyfest tomorrow

I like them too, but only with certain things done. I don't like the early parts. If I were to get another Mk2 it would have to have big doors, big bumpers, Bronze BBS RAs, and lowered some. I like the Mk3 a little more because it looks a tad bit more modern and it has a rounder body.

Ltdnismorace, if you want yours to look a little better try some of this cheap stuff:
    -OEM Sideskirts
    -Euro VR6 lip
-15" BBS RAs off of a Corrado G60
    -Badgeless front grill
    -Repainted side moldings

cool but i don't really wanna spend a whole lot of money making it nicer cause it's a DD and with our roads up here in WV it would get messed up pretty quick.

    RA's came on the 89-92 16V MkII's

G-60 Corrado's had the RM's which have a barrel and a removable lip:

Either one wouls look OK on a MkIII, but better on a mkII

Ah thanks for pointing that out, I'm not familiar with all the BBS wheels. I have some of the Mk2 RAs that I tried out on my Jetta, I didn't like the look b/c they were too small. But 15" or 16" wheels look perfect on Mk3s.
