Yah this track is a blast, I can't wait to race. My suction camera mount should be here tomorrow too so I should have a lot of interesting video.
Are they going to be switching the direction we'll be running around lunch time so that we can get even wear on our tires?
I have a rollbar mount too! Let's get some good footage!!Originally Posted by SIL80det

Uhhh...that's a good question. Shouldn't be a problem as long as we're all going in the same direction.Originally Posted by Nemesis

I just made an agreement with the track and the trackday is a GO!!! I have to admit, I was sweating it for a minute. Anyways, if you've paid me with a check, then your check is in my account now.
NO MORE REFUNDS UNLESS WE ARE RAINED OUT!!
If it sprinkles, then we will still drive. If it slams us with the waterfalls of God, then we will call it quits. Just letting you guys know. Also, 95 rated helmets will be acceptable at the track. That's a note for all you cheap@sses.
- We will open the gates at 8:00AM and in that time, you will sign various release forms, undergo a tech inspection, and then be there for a small debriefing about the days events.
- The first car will hit the track at roughly 9:00AM with each group of 3 cars driving near 20mins for each session.
- We will break for lunch at 1:00PM and resume driving at roughly 2:00PM. At this point, we will be driving in the opposite direction to try and balance tire wear.
If your tires are a little low, then I recommend bringing a second set. Seriously.
Remember, long pants and shoes. Make sure you car isn't leaking crap all over the place and double check all the necessary items. I look forward to seeing you guys out there. Thanks to everyone for your patience and support!

A website with on-track footage.
http://www.opentrackaction.com/track_videos.htm
Scroll down and select:
Talladega Grand Prix Raceway (Little Talladega)
Mustang chasing Mustang (.wmv, 6mb)
It's a video of my manager Howard Bennett (White Mustang) leading some new guy (Black Mustang) around the track. I believe that Howard said he'll provide some in-car instruction if anyone wants it. Later.
Here is my <a href="http://jimmy.planetblur.org/TGPR">talladega webpage</a>. the video wont work for people who arent using a computer at my work....sorry. Also ignore the ghetto HTML. i made it at work using notepad.
ANYONE KNOW HOW TO POST LINKS HERE? I AM USED TO NON-VBULLETIN FORUMS....TIA

This is the first time I've ever hosted an event like this. Depending on the results of this event, I may host another one in a few months. You also have to consider that the track has raised their rates as well. Time will tell, but if I do host an event, then IA will be the first to know.Originally Posted by Buford

25th is a Saturday and quiet times will be enforced before 8:00AM and after 5:00PM. The remodeling of the track is in August I believe.
What's quiet time? Any sluts open up?

Possibly getting a hotel room near that area of the track. Dont really want to wake up so early the morning of. Anyone else doing the same?
I do not know. I would have to ask my tubby b*tch with Man t*tties DP. I figure we can go down the night before so we do not have to worry about driving so early in the morning. Do you know of any places?

Last time we went (me/Eiffel) we got a room. Yes, separate beds you pervs. No doubt the same this time, we'll go out and get some sleep before the track.
Driving up that morning, doing the track, then driving home would kick your arse.
It's not that far of a drive so I don't think it'd be too bad. Then again, I'll be working most of the event.Originally Posted by 2thAche

Ive got a room booked everyone. This hotel is about 5 minutes away from the track. Ive got a double bed room, so if anyone wants to crash on the floor or something itll be really cheap. Here is the hotel information!
Comfort Inn Lincoln
850/A Speedway Industrial Drive, Lincoln, AL 35096
(205) 763-9777
Oh btw, Im leaving to go to the hotel around 5pm Friday afternoon, if anyone wants to caravan down.
You should bring out the Spec-VThe Spec is in the hands of an 18-year-old now, sold it. It had Intake/header/RSB/SS and Falken Azenis 225s, was a nice autocrosser. Have you seen how fast the boosted ones are now?

If anyone else is going to the hotel Friday evening let me know please!
lol, yeah. There's one on www.TheVBoard.com that's undergoing a VQ35DE swap too. Nuts. Makes me miss my old Spec.Originally Posted by 2thAche
