haha. I used be on that board alot. I still have a vid of a boosted spec running a unknown-modded STi from a stop and then from a roll. From a stop, it goes how you'd think it would. From a roll, the Spec wins by a car! 2700 lbs and 300+ WHP makes for a great roll-racer.

Hey I wouldn't leave at 5PM unless you have to. Traffic on Friday will be off the hook.

We're going to take off around 7PM after we grab something to eat up around East Cobb. Let me know if any people are wanting to meet up around that time, I'll PM my cell #.

I'm game. Let me know the cost and what-not. I'll pack a sleeping bag and what-not.

I was hoping to bring out the grill and cook for you guys, but it looks like my father won't be bringing the grill. At least there's a really good BBQ place down the road from the track.

I'll be doing an anti-rain dance for sure. It's been about a year since I've raced here and I'm pretty pumped.

Oh, Seth should be towing the Mustang down there and I think we'll be bringing a grill along.

I mean lets keep our fingers crossed for sunshine not Sunday but that is my fault for not being clear. Eitherway lets dance jump up and down or pray to whatever God you look up to for No Rain!

Looks like our rain dance is causing more! Percent of rain went up a little more this morning, but it seems Friday and Sunday are fine

Hey some good news for us thatll run rain or shine. I spoke with some GA-Fbody guys and they said they run rain or shine and as rough as the track is, we'll actually dry the track out. I say we do this rain or shine!!! And quite honestly I dont think itll rain all day and downpour and I would hate to see this event cancelled because of a little wetness

Im gonna hold you to this Nate! I dont think the waterfalls of God will be out, but I think it will sprinkle. I just spent way too much money to get the damn car ready for a little play on this track to just throw it out

70% chance of rain right now. What is the cut off point. To tell you the truth, if it is raining I do not want to run my car. Should I put my spot up for sale?

    thanks

Nate can you please call me ASAP please ! 770-656-7145

I just talked to the guy out at the track and he said the local weather folks over there are saying its a chance of showers on Saturday later in the afternoon. Plus he also said that you can only be refunded 50percent of the total cost. So either way I think we'll lose the money. Rain or shine Im gonna be there guys. Looks like if you wanna sell your spot , do it now.

AWD is not going to help too much with my near-bald Potenzas if there is standing water. If it's just raining and slick, I'll still run for sure.

If anyone is interested PM me, we'll be meeting at a shop around 5:00PM or so, then going to dinner around 6:00PM and leaving after that when traffic has died.

Hey guys, I just thought id say this, yeah it sucks its gonna rain but lets face it, we paid for this shit and we knew our money was non refundable. I talked with the track folks and it looks like if Nathan cancelled we'd only get 50 percent of our money back. Im sorry , but its not going to be a hurricane out there, and a little rain doesnt hurt much. Just dont drive like a jackass out there and you wont have any problems. We should all go anyways just to hang out.

Honestly guys, if you have tires with a bit of depth at least, you can learn alot from driving wet. It forces you to be very very smooth and take a good line. You'd be surprised how fast you can get in the rain if you run smooth.

Standing water is a different story. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Sorry I've been out guys. I just sent out an e-mail note to everyone who gave me e-mail addresses. I've been watching the forecast all week for the area and I've seen it change like 40 times. The track day is still a go. The track owner says that they're expecting rain in the later evening so we should still be able to get in some solid runs. I'll be there despite the weather conditions so I look forward to seeing you guys out there.

Good times out there guys. I've coordinated with the track owner and there will be another open event for March 11th if anyone is interested. Hopefully we'll have some better weather.

Still, I'm glad that so many people made it out. I had a blast with you guys and I want to thank everyone for being responsible out there and not getting too out of hand (except for you Matt. Nice finale! ) I think that even with the light drizzle, we got in some track time and everybody learned how to handle their cars a little better. I hope to see you guys out there again in a couple of weeks. Hopefully in the sunshine!

    Awards
Fastest Driver - Eiffel (Acura NSX)
Best Support - George (Mercury/Ford Cougar) & Matt (Nissan Sileighty)
Most Improved - Steve Konsin (Infiniti G35)
Best Effort - Lee (Old-@ss Toyota Celica)
Best Wipeout - Matt (Nissan Sileighty)

That's about all I can think of off hand. Special thanks to Seth's father for bringing out the grill and feeding everyone! Again, thanks to eveyone and I hope to see you out there again. I'll be posting info on the next event on Monday probably.

Yah you know... gotta go out in style. Of the little video I got sure enough they got me sliding into the grass. I had a blast though. It was good meeting those I didn't already know. Hopefully I don't break my car at Turner Field next weekend and I can come back out on the 11th.
