Hot Import Nights and NOPI announce the Super Show Tour. HIN and NOPI will be working together for the first time in their storied histories. HIN and NOPI will be co-producing the biggest auto lifestyle event tour EVER! Come join HIN and NOPI as we bring drag racing, car shows, models, music, gymkhana (head to head drifting) and much, much more to the great race tracks of the U.S. The Super Show Tour will hold events that take place over two-days and include a racing series and car competition of the likes of which have never been seen.

So Nopi doesn't have enough money to hold its own show now and need support of HIN to come up with a show? Its going to be interesting to see what turnout it will be in july at AMS... Its got my support... Anybobdy is better than Motorsports Nats.. I hope those guys don't try to hold another Failed show at AMS in Sept again this year... I even told them not to do it... LOL

Sadly you were mistaken.

NOPI actually died somewhere around 2002 or so. But people that have no business modifying cars have kept NOPI from becoming a fond memory. Later, QD.

I'm not into guady cars, but the foundation of national car shows have been taking cars to extreme measure both cosmetically and performance wise. NOPI was not the only car show with rice, all of them have a certain amount of it, and why is it such a big deal if some people want to spend lots of money to make their car over the top? I'm sure some people would think it's ridiculous to mod a civic or to spend lots of money making a civic fast...

I've had fun at NOPI the two times I've been there.

Im with you man, YES all car shows do have a certain amount of "ricers" in them, its unfortunately part of the import scene and probably always will be to some extent...I have been to many Nopi shows and have (2) top 3 trophies sitting in storage, BUT more than other shows they provided a breeding ground and supported the ricer movement more than any other show I have been to, simply put, Nopi is out of date, and out of touch with what a REAL CAR SHOW should be

I never went to nopi and i live bout 15mins from AMS. I never went cause people seemed to get excited bout seeing the music performances or bikini contest over seeing the cars,I've always had better time at small meets then big ones.

I think it is funny that no one in Atl knows that nopi is still around I'm in Indianapolis and I knew that...lol
I will be going to this and believe me no one in Atl can complain about the import scene til someone comes up here it sucks. So I looks forward to IA and shows like Nopi...That is geared towards imports...We aren't the west coast so we get screwed on hot shows and meets!

good point. I was only talking about the show in its later "lifestyle" 98-07 years. I never attended when it was VW show put on by a VW parts company.

Lol Ricers are like the fat sister you dont want to admit you have. Yeah they corny as hell and some time they get a little two existed with the stickers from walmart, but why is it every time some one wants to rag on ricers ya have to bring up the fast and the furious lol. Maybe there is no clear defenition to what a ricer actually is i mean after all the cars on fast in the furious are selected from actuall car enthusiast, and mistubishi was nice enough to even produce a nice evo and eclipse specificly for 2 fast 2 furious.

I mean im starting to wonder if some people just use the word ricer as the N word of the car world just because its of asian decent, cause honestly some of ya would piss ya pants to have cars like what they have in them movies, but truth be told ya dont. Its a shame that in 2010 everything in the US is still all about race and colors even with a black president.. So what if some one likes chrome on they cars, so what if they want to low ride it and air bag it i mean real street machines date back from old school Impalas sitting on wire rims and 10 inch steering wheels. Why dont all ya atlanta folks go over the west coast and tell them how gay there cars are or how they are ricers? i mean really stop hatting..

HIN and NOPI together at last well frankly its goin to be a joke cause its too little to late both have fallen flat even in the tunning scene, they will never revive the old Nopi Nationals and frankly no one who ever went can say it just sucked. As for all the people complaining about the ricers at the show well this aint comunist china witch is technically the country ya are implying by using the word "ricer" im sure there if you feel like paying 45 dollars to enter your car in show even if its a ford escort they wont walk around goin oh look at the "hotdog mobile" or look at the "bush mobile" or hey look there goes an "economy disaster" or the "welfare car"....

Get over it people on a budget that want gas economical sports inspired looking cars, they have the right to express them self through their car while it might not meet your approval, In all reallity no one really asked you for it, now pull out ya period tampons and if you happen to walk by a honda you dont like guess what, KEEP WALKING!! As for the cry baby that posted behind me, really?? is that the best 5 yr old responce you have??. That further illustrates my point of how ignorant people can be, i think we can add another or new name to the list of tuner dishes. We have been called Gear Heads, Motor heads, Plastic car fans, Pocket Rocket drivers, Street Racers, the list goes on and on. But i call for a moment of silence in honoring the retards that drive buckets that they mouth and power windows run faster than they car. Being of foreign decent i have been called a few things in my time in the south but i will say it at least took them ignorent folks observation, but dont call a fork a spoon my friend.

I also forget some of use still need bananas and flash cards cause our short vocabulary can only read so long before our heads hurt. Maybe you can wake up go suck your thumb and watch Dora the Explorer unless by your means of classyfying she is ricer too since i just seems to be your random word of the day .
