With the lock not responding to a physical push/pull it sounds like an actuator seizure. If cycling the key really works that would indicate to me the actuator is failing and agitating it is a temporary solution.

We'll see what's in store for the BRZ for the 2014 model. To many, the power level is poor compared to other cars on the market today but it's supposed to compare to the Miata in the fun factor department. I'm already on the waiting list at one of the larger Subaru dealerships for the STi model if/when they arrive here in the states.
Did you read the newest Motor Trend article? It tests the V6 Mustang, BRZ, Miata, Genesis, and I think 1 other. Pretty good read. They ranked the BRZ #1 but the Mustang I think was fastest and best performer in most if not all catagories(If I remember correctly). Theres also a nice Motor Trend video on youtube comparing the Mustang and BRZ. I like the idea of the BRZ, just needs more.

Prototype intake mani is done and tested. Gains are +3lbs at the maf on mani alone with a gr2871. The addition of 4 port injectors with the gtx3076............mayyyyybeee a gtx3582 will yield at least 600whp on e85. Pics of mani coming soon

i changed the oil on my STi today. WHat a pain in the nuts. Half the fucking car has to be unsnapped...........hate that shit.
The BRZ/FR-S/GT-86 is already old looking to me. They showed concept drawings years ago, so the design is nothing new. Yeah, I will be excited when I see my first one and love the fact that they made a RWD fun car, but the design is already old.

what size injectors are you looking to run?
car is direct injected and there aren't any replacement injectors or high pressure pump available so we're doing the intake mani with 4 injectors and swapping the stock low pressure pump to something that flows more. stock pump flows 255gph but it just won't be enough. injector wise we will probably use 32's or 40's as its just additional fuel so that should be plenty. this is still in testing tho. the prototype intake mani just went on this weekend on a buddy's car and is still be thoroughly tested without the injector setup first since it will be a production piece when finalized. then testing for the injector setup will begin.

well mine is a ss version which has a direct injected turbo 2.0, shared in cobalt ss (08-10), pontiac solstice gxp, and the saturn sky redline. they only produced like 5000 hhr ss models per year from 08-10 so there really aren't that many around. but there is a pretty decent aftermarket for them with the shared platform
