We already covered the warranty issue last time, it's a secret.

....just kidding. I have a S2000 now
Probably one of the most hilarious days in internet surfing history.......watching every GM forum do damage control on their ZL1
You cant even imagine the excuses being thrown around on how the fastest stock ZL1 time, 11.9@117(GM's own claimed time with a 1.69 60ft on stock tires), is actually better than Motor Trends 11.6@125 in the GT500.
Anyone else having a great day :boobies:

As much as I love my Audi, I'd have to advise against it. You have a Porsche that needs work, a new VW that you're modding..a 3rd car is A.) unnecessary and B.) expensive(ESPECIALLY EARLY 2000 AUDI'S). Not trying to tell you what to do with your money or whatever. I frankly don't care. But, I don't do terrible financially and keeping a B5 Audi on the road is a nightmare.
I've had my B5 S4 since January and on top of the car itself I've sank $3k in it...and that's NOT go fast mods(working on them is also a nightmare, you have to pull the front end off for absolutely everything)..and not replacing turbos or even touching the timing. Be smart. Save your money and get something worth keeping. Audi's are money pits, especially older Audi's.
Again don't get me wrong, I really don't care. Just don't want someone to make the same mistake I did. I love my car...but I hate to love it.
Thank you for giving a respectable/helpful reply instead of just being an ass. It's why I directed it towards you and no one else. Just to clarify (even though it doesn't matter), It would be my second, not third, car. I just help out with the 911 because my parents are in a real bad spot right now.
But thank you for letting me know. I figured you would know best since you actually own one haha I'll probably end up going with the VW then.
Ok...now I'm done here.

I didn't realize it was directed towards me, otherwise I would have responded earlier. Keep in mind, older VW's are almost as bad as B5 Audi's. I feel like my car is all around nice and fairly quick with a lot of potential hence why I bought it..and frankly I feel like I never see B5 S4's. But finding one that hasn't been molested you may as well buy a clean NA Supra and over time build it up. German=Expensive. Go Fast German= More expensive. Reliable Go Fast German=UnGodly Expensive.
Good luck either way! Buy a Toyota or Honda. It'll be smarter in the long run!
Loved that car, but to get legitimate power I may as well buy a Supra or whatever. It's a really nice DD and sounded great and was super comfortable. But, performance wise it would get eaten alive by just about everything except 325 BMW's lol
Even when Steve had his Dakar M3 we ran and I stayed with him till about 85....little did I know he was in 4th and I was in 2nd..45-85. FI is the only way to get real power from that thing.

Not all German vehicles are terrible. Staying on top of the maintenance is key. Most people like to put off any maintenance and/or issues that need to be address until the very last moment. At that point, they tab is typically on the large side. As you can imagine, customer's still blame the car for being unreliable? WTF? Unreliable? No, your faggot ass is unreliable and did this to yourself. Don't blame the car. (General speaking, not directed towards James or Roxie).
I like Audi's, I really do. The only way I would consider one is if it still had the warranty. My dad really likes his Audis but will admit that it sees the dealership often.
Two cars I would NEVER recommend to anyone is Jaguar or Land Rover/Range Rover. That's in addition to anything that's British.
I'm not saying all of them are terrible, they just get expensive quickly. I believe it's worth the money depending on the vehicle. Porsche's are amazing cars IMO, I mean who can argue against a Flat 6 that cranks out over 400hp NA. No one. But it's expensive to buy, expensive to maintain and you'll lose your ass when you sell it. Frankly that's cars in general, no one is in this for the money. It's for the love and passion of cars and racing. I talk myself out of selling it all the time just because when it runs great it runs GREAT! Then I get all excited but when it's being a stubborn bitch and I'm having to learn how to do something the hard way(which is how I always do it) I just wanna sell it.
But, to be fair. I asked you before I bought Heidi what you thought and you said stay away because it's not going to have a warranty and it's going to be expensive to maintain, my car is significantly more problematic than an E36 M(one that's been maintained properly) or most things BMW. And you were absolutely right. Looking back, should've bought an S2000 or an M3, But I love my car and it's fun and it does the job for now. I just want over 350awhp damnit!
It's a damn tank.3600lbs.
Realistically 250ish. I have a boost leak though. Fix that and I'll be high 280's low 290's. I'd like to upgrade the turbos and do a straight 3.5" exhaust(turbos back) and have 400awhp all day long but thats a little more than I'd like to spend. Honestly after I fix the boost leak and a few misc. things it'll be suspension work and maintenance. I want it to stay looking stock but just upgrade little things here and there.
There's a lot of guys on Audizine/VWVortex/S4Forum that are running 350ish on stock twins with intake, piggies, exhaust, chip and water/meth. which if you buy used parts you can get all of that under $2k.
Take a bit of advice from somebody that's seen meth/water go wrong: stay away. Make a bit less power and have the reliablity of less components...

Nitrous is for pussies. Never been a fan of the bottle personally.

Nitrous is the best bang for the buck out there. You just cant get stupid with it. Pretty much just like anything else out there, moderation is the best thing.

so the locksmith showed up and uses a tool to reach through the door and grab the lock and pull it up......but it won't pull up....its stuck. so he does the same thing to the other door and it opened right up (there is only a key hole on the drivers door). now i get in through the passenger door, climb over to the drivers seat and hit the unlock button.....bam....it opens right up. i don't get it. i haven't messed with it any more but i will play around with it tomorrow.

i didn't renew my onstar last year since i had never used it the entire life of the vehicle. i did call onstar though to see if there was anything they could do. i had to have an active subscription in order for them to be able to locate the vehicle....i asked if i could activate a subscription at that point and they said that i had to be inside the vehicle to press the onstar button to activate it. read on a forum this morning that the same thing happened to another guy and he said he cycled the lock a few times electronically and all was well. we shall see
