I don't doubt this for one second. If I can have fun in traffic...nothing but fun drives on the weekend would be awesome haha

I've put less than 3,000 miles in the past year on my s2000. Now, It's sold. I've never regret not driving it.

Only drove my car on nice evenings and my off days.

Now, I'm buying an even lower mileage s2000 and plan on driving it less.

And, I HATE HATE HATE HATE letting my car bake in the sun when its 100 degrees outside!

Just putting my 2 cents in

    Ily, guys!

Guess what, that POS lost value the minute you drove it off the lot. I used to be SUPER anal about my cars but as you grow up, you realize that it's a machine with a purpose to get you from point A to point B. That doesn't mean you shouldn't take care of it which a lot of people do. That doesn't mean my next car will be my next car will be used and abused like my WRX. I want one near mint condition that I can continue to care for yet enjoy. At the end of the day, who gives a rats ass whom does what with their car.
    My nigga.

Nothing irritates me more than people trying to tell me what to do with my money or my car.

I figured I would offer it up to Newnan first before I post it up on a car audio forum, is anyone interested in an Alpine CDA-9883 w/ iPod cable? I'll even install it for next to nothing if you buy it. Dirt cheap, $50. I've also got a set of Kenwood 6.5" components.

So I finally pulled my first motor apart and found very little carnage Cylinder 4 rod bearing failed. It failed in a nice uniform fashion and didn't score the crank. Not sure how much use I have for a spare 2 liter crank, but whatever...
As I suspected tho, the motor wouldn't have lasted much longer anyway- cylinders 2 and 3 had slight visible bearing wear (uoa indicated this two oil changes prior to the actual failure) meaning they would've likely failed soon had 4 not given up first. My thoughts on the wear? I'll keep them to myself as I plan my next motor- I mean how to finance my next motor

Actually I went through 4 honda motors in 11 months at one point so your comment is void :P

This is correct. The current motor is still running, but if it died tomorrow I really wouldn't care. I want/need a built motor.... I'm actually debating pulling my current turbo and putting the stock one back...

    Chris,

Most people stop at around 300whp on 93oct with the 2 liter. Some brave it to 320-330 but that's asking alot. On E85, 330-350 seems to be the limit but its still risky business. I beat the ever loving shit out of my car every day and it won't be long before I start cringing everytime I lay into it, wondering if its gonna survive this pull....
These 2 liter motors weren't built with any form of motorsports in mind like your motor. they're open deck, cast pistons, and just an all around so-so motor. The 2.5 motors are a bit better, but not much.... The JDM STI motors were/are the baddasses when it comes to OE subaru motors.... Steve tried getting me to buy a couple of them as they popped up last year- if only I had $4500 at that time....

As for swapping back to the stock turbo- its a sentimental thing. I refuse to let go of personally running 12's with the td04 in a full weight wagon. Has it been done before? sure, but I haven't. On top of that, the current setup is super laggy (no party until 4500-5000), and when on full boil, moves the fuck out. The stock turbo will spool instantly and on E85, make solid power across a fairly wide powerband. Ideally, I'd have Tommy's turbo if I could....

got almost all of the paint off-- that residue also came off somewhat, but there are deep scratches where they applied their artwork.
