Which one's cheaper on insurance jojo??

I know the wagon (despite being 10yrs newer) was cheaper to insure than the prelude which was the same price as my GSR...

Well I'm sure it has a lot to do with the fact that the Prelude and Integra are classified as a sports coupes and the wagon is classified as a grandma car. Also Hondas retain their value significantly more than the Scoobies.

FWIW: my 2010 Sti is cheaper to insure than my 03 and 04 BMW's.

The S2K was more than the EVO?!
or was it that your insurance was re-assed and other factors played a part (age, tickets dropped off, etc...)?

Chris is selling his '04 Orange Cobra Joe. You should buy it ....

Or if you wanted a Sonic Blue '03? Kicking around the idea of starting a new toy on a completely new platform instead of buying a 3rd toy. 3 toys being scattered across GA and NY doesn't make much sense

Why are scoobies so much cheaper?
Cuz of the AWD being safer or something?

Because they're cheap cars. Ask Steve and he'll agree- nothing in these bugeyes (02/03) or blobeyes (04/05) and to some extent even hawkeyes (06/07) says "high quality fit and finish." I find them to be reliable and dependable (Steve doesn't think so, so that can be debated) but there's no mistaking that your sitting in a 10yr old car.... Starting in 08 they got nicer. if your WRX shopping, 09+ (much better suspension and motor than 08) or STI shopping 08+ are the way to go...

I'm not sure. I still had the S2K when I bought the Evo so I had the multiple car discount but once the S2K was sold, the premium was a few dollars cheaper. The S2k was at the top of the list in terms of insurance cost due to theft, etc.

I asked Chris about it earlier today. I would buy it but has more miles than I would prefer. Orange is the only way to go IMO. Sonic blue would be next in line.

Subaru's build quality is top notch, I can't discredit Subaru in that department. The engines just don't seem to handle the power compared to the 4G63, 2JZ, LSx, etc. Obviously this can boil down to how well it's modified, the tune and the loose nut behind the wheel.

They've installed more clutches than all of us combined. I doubt they could mess it up.

I was tossing around the idea of picking up a Gen 2 Viper GTS to keep in GA but Id have a car payment and im kinda liking not having one. So If I sold the Cobra I could DD the FJ and have the Viper as my toy. Just kicking that around. Nothing for sure yet.

I'm about to have an '01 ACR (yellow with black strips) on consignment within the next couple weeks. It only has ~15,700 miles on it. One owner.

From what I've read (I need to do research on each vehicle I consign), there wasn't a big difference in performance although I would agree those are the better looking ones. I was never a fan of vipers until a red GTS coupe lowered on HRE wheels rolled up behind me at Road Atlanta. That car is pure sex.

    Found it.

The difference is really just potential. Stock for stock they are the same.
1996, the first year of the GTS(coupe), through 2002 is gen 2. That body style is probably the most famous and you can pick up a 2003+ gen 3 for cheaper then some of the 2's. Even though the 3's are lighter and more powerful, they just dont look as good.

I dont know what Im going to do. I want a Viper either way. Its just if I want a car payment again hahaha

I don't like the appearance or the wheels, but God is that low! I also wouldn't mind being able to get behind the wheel just for the sensation of putting my foot down and then being launched into orbit, lol.

I personally don't care for the RT/10 body with the top on. Everything looks better topless. :boobies:

I HATE the RT/10's rear window. Ruins the car for me. It definately has to be a GTS.

I would love to have a small beater truck. Simplicity at it's best.
