    Its easy. There's D series, B series, H series, F series, K series, L series, R series, J series and C series.
The next two digits are the engine displacement. D15= a D series that's 1.5 liters in displacement.
    J's and C's are v6's in accords, legends, RL's TL's, CL's, NSX's, Passports, Odessy's and Ridglines.
D series were mainly in Civics, Del Sol's, and CRX's here in the states and were 1.5-1.7 liters and sohc (save for the ZC, but that's a whole other story, kinda. as are the 1986-1989 Acura integra D16's which were also dohc).
B series are super easy swaps into almost all D series cars. The B's came in integra's, some civics, and del sols here in the states as well as CRV's. (NOTE: there was an early B series motor B20a and B21 that were in 3rd gen Preludes and share nothing in common with the rest of the B family or the commonly used B20B or B20Z motors). B series range in displacement from 1.6-2 liters and are all dohc.
H and F series are very similar. Most F's are sohc while all H series are dohc. Both H's and F's range from 2-2.3 liters of displacement and came in accords, preludes, and S2000's (early honda oddessy's as well). They were known as "Honda's Big Block" back in the day.
The K series replaced the B and H series as Honda's high performance 4 cylinder of choice in 2002 when introduced in the then new RSX and EP3 civic Si hatch, but also came/comes in Accords, TSX's, CRV's and Elements. These are all dohc motors and range from 2-2.4 liters.
I think there's only two L series motors in the states anfd they both came in Fits with 1.5 liters of displacement and are sohc motors.
Finally the R series is in the latest generation civcs as the D series replacement. They're 1.8 liters and sohc.

I'm sure I missed/left out alot, but I'm at work and don't have my database with me so its all off the top of my head- so cut me some slack! lol

That's pretty good for being off the top or your head. I don't know a damn thing about Hondas, so that helps me out a lot! Thanks Steve!

No its not good. I can remember this, but my mother's birthday? nope.
    lol
I've been into hondas for a long time, and was a lonely homeschooled boy with ALOT of spare time so i learned alot over the last 8 and a half years. lol
I'm liking the scooby more and more these days, and starting to get over the whole "sell it and get another Honda" thing, but I still have a soft spot for any clean mild or wild honda.

    DC - 94-01 integra

Just got back from the Dyno at Allspeed. Slocus, sorry bout not calling you but I was having issues with my A/F Ratio and was constantly tearing my carb apart and re-jetting / Rodding it so I didn't think anyone would want to be around for that. Combo did o.k. I guess, my A/F ratio is WAY off below 4.5K and I couldn't get it to come back up with my Jetting kit I had. I believe I am over carbed and need to drop down to a 650 Holley and junk this 750 Edelbrock. I ended up gaining 18HP and 15 Torque overall. Like I said it needs a different carb and more tuning!

a 750 double pumper is perfect for that car, assuming the displacement is around 350-400. Leaning it out any more will hurt your bottom end torque numbers. I think a 650 won't get the job done up top looking at your top end HP numbers.

What are you running for fuel pressure and timing control? Mor timing on the bottom end will fix the fuel ratio down low.

I'm sitting at about 9 psi just idleing. As for the timing I was at 18 deg base, but dropped it down to 15 for the last run. and Displacement is 358 c.i.

My biggest problem is I know jack #### about carb tuning. As if that wasn't evident already! This is the first car I've built that has had a carb so I'm really out of the loop on this one. The one thing I didn't try was dropping the stroke on the accelerator pump down a notch. Don't know if that would have done it or not.

How much do you have invested in the setup? And what kinda power do you think it CAN make?

Carbs are magic, especially Holley. Buy a Demon if you want more consistency.

Don't mess too much with the Accelerator Pump, use it as a last resort. Do you have a regulator on there? Is it vac. or mechanical advance?

Running rich down low probably helped you in the torque department. Keep in mind, you pulled on a 61 degree day with 7% humidity and todays barometer was pretty high. Run it on a 85 degree June day here and I bet you are right on the money. Slap some quick adjustability on there (like and adjustable regulator) and run it. When it warms up, add more than 9PSI. Now, back it down to 8.5 and see what happens.

Is you are running a hig power ignition, this can commonly show as "rich down low" on the dyno. Systems like the 6AL need tons of voltage at low RPM's, 12.5V wont always cut it and make it appear rich down low.

Personally, I am a timing guy on V8's. The larger the displacement, the more power you can get from timing.

I think it should be capable of 370 - 380 HP and associated torque. I see alot of people running this much with very similar setups.

Right now I do not have a reg on it. That IS my very next purchase. As for the Ignition, its a stock Dura-spark II Vac adv setup.

I am happy overall, just a little dissapointed with the Peak HP and of course the A/F below 4K.

I gained 18 HP and 15 Tq for an hours worth of work with little effort and also gained alot of driveability. I noticed the power comes on alot more smooth since jetting it different.

Everything on a Civic is easy to do. Camber kits aren't too bad.

k i figure if i get wheels and tires i might as well get the camber kit too, rather spend 200 now and get front and rear than spend 200 in a couple months when my camber kills the tires.
