Did you fill the coolant from the metal crossover tube? Believe its a 1/4 ratchet that removes it. If it wont budge then notch it with a grinder and use a hammer and screwdriver.

Havent had any. Sounds like you have air in your system though. They are picky when it comes to burping it. Just fill it from the crossover tube and you'll be fine.Quote:

So the axle nut is actually requires a male 17 mm socket, so I'm screwed for tonight as far as that. I moved on to removing the battery and tray, the shifter cables, shifter brackets, slave cylinder line, and about to remove the starter.
VW seems to use every freakin' size socket, but I've narrowed most of it down to 13, 16, 17, and 18 mm sockets.
