I don't think we will catch the Mets but I think we can snag the wildcard spot. Everyones bitching about how we suck but I think it's funner(is that a word) having to catch up rather then running away with the division.

k, here is my thoughts on the Brav-O's, I have been watching them closely for years, and in several years past, all it has taken to get the braves going is a stellar performance from someone obscure (read: chuck James) this kid is pitching stellar baseball, he is going to be this years Francouer IMHO. Andrew is right up there in the RBI's, Chipper is coming around, McCann is one of the best right now, especially in the cathers spot (a notebly weak position for many a team) Renteria is about as consistent a player as you are gonna get. I feel sheurholtz is gonna go get a relief or two this trade season, and he is gonna pay for it, he is a buyer this year, not a seller, he may deal up a prospect, but mostly some cash to buy out a contract. I am faithful that the Braves will win the division.

On the other hand of the argument, the Mets, sure they have played good ball up till this point, but I am starting to see the numbers decline, Look at Pedro, sore hip, special shoes, blah blah blah blah, he is gonna steadily decline and be a 15 game winner this year, which doesn't putting him winning too many more games...The Mets have a bunch of marqee (sp?) players, but these players are prone to fatigue towrds the end, with the exception of wright, that is a ball player. I see the Mets being a 500 team through the second half, and I see the braves being more of a 600-650 team. Statistically speaking, the Braves won the division in 95 from 10 games back on July 22nd.

    Braves for 15.

They are behind 5 or 6 games from the dodger for the WC.. thats easier, but it will good to see them come close to the mets , make things interesting

Yup, Braves ended the first half on a good note, just hit a bad streak. 2nd half looks very promising, should be a good rest of the season. Plus football is comin' up hahaha

to make this really simple... the braves are going to win the division. The mets will find some way to mess things up for themselves as all the other teams in the east do when they put up a little challenge for the braves. I've been a fan since I started watching baseball in 1990 and the braves were the only team I watched play. (we only get tbs from america on cable in Jamaica lol.) I've seen them come back from everything. They will pull the division win off. I don't see them going too far in the post season but hopefully next year they can get a fucking bullpin that won't give up so many runs. This bullpin is the worst I've ever seen for the team!

lol ya... last night was just back and forth slugger.. geez, i turn the game on in the fist inning and it's 4-0 and we blow that lead, then we blow another big lead, geez... we really need a reliable reliever, Jorge Sosa is just unreliable as hell... it's bad enough when we start him, but to bring him in in the 9th with the lead. eek... Great game tho, hopefully sets the pace for the 2nd half.

ok even though the braves won, that was not a good game....we got so lucky but thankfully every inning are bats got us out of it.... but once again are bullpen blows the game like 5 times! There bats can only take them so far, but if there bullpen sucks all the time they are going no where fast, they need to get somebody whose consistant. because right now the consistantly unconsistant, you never know what your going to get out of them

very true, wish they would trade people like villahreal, and Sosa is not going to be a good closer, I think the best we have got is Ken Ray, they should invest in someone like mariano rivera, but you know that would never happen, lol. But the braves won, and they need to keep winning, and make a surprise comeback.

i dont have any major problems with villareal, my main problem is with sosa... i simply can't stand him... i have no clue how he ended up being a starter. he's horrible, he couldn't strike anybody out last night to save his life, they were just hittin' off him at will.

Damn, Braves have scored 26 runs in the last 2 games (this game isn't over yet as of posting)... The bats are definatly working, just need to get the relief/closing pitchers situated and we will be in good position to make a run for the division again.

weve won 10 outta 13, have the most HR's in the majors in July & have scored 37 runs in 3 games, We are on FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111

i think we dug a big hole when we lost 10 straight, like I said before I dont see us winning the division but I think we can snag a wildcard
