not doubting his talent, but hes got too stacked a team the last 2 years to not go to the SB. I think his window is over with the emergence of the 49ers and Seahawks.

he will go down as a top 20 QB

You arent sitting as pretty as you think you are. You have a definite advantage this week, but it isnt set in stone right now. I have a few things working.

The QB that will have us forgetting the Brady's and Manning's will be Luck. He is miles ahead of either of them at this point in his career. As long as he keeps the same attitude and the Colts surround him with enough talent he will go down as one of the best ever.

He is without question the front runner of the future crop of QBs. I dont think he will ever be Brady. The fire that burns in Brady was lit by not being the big shot stanford QB, from not being the #1 pick in the draft.... Brady has played in 5 superbowls and still wants to play in 5 more. Brady STILL plays with a chip on his shoulder....

Not going to question Brady's drive, but dont act like he was a no one from Delaware. He was the starting QB at the University of Michigan. The same school that saw nearly 20 straight starting QB's drafted into the NFL.

I think Luck is going to be better because he has the same drive, the same intelligence, and better tools. He has a stronger arm, he is bigger, stronger, and more athletic. Brady and Manning are statues in the pocket where Luck can do the same damage from the pocket but can also do real damage with his legs.

time will tell, Luck looks the part, but he has to take basement talent to a SB and win it. Brady has dont so much with so little. Hes NEVER had a dependable WR deep threat. His best WR was what............deion branch? Im talking dependable long term receiver?

Moss was in an out, Welker you could argue, but is welker a HOFer?

Luck has tebow's body, Peyton's mind and Marino's arm..... but Brady is very big shoes to fill.

Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design. Your friends, up there on the NFL moon, are walking into a trap, as is your Rebel fleet. It was *I* who allowed the Alliance to know the location of the limited roster generator. It is quite safe from your pitiful little band. An entire legion of my best troops awaits them. Oh, I'm afraid the opposing teams defense will be quite operational when your friends arrive.

I need a #3 WR. I have Steven Hauschka and Garrett Hartley for bait. May even throw RG3 into the mix for a #1 or 2 WR.

fukin panthers w/ the bullsh1t last night. all i wanted was double digit fantasy numbers from their defense, but they had to allow a touchdown.

If this is directed at me, the answer is no. Really need to step up my WR's. Willing to throw in someone else for the right WR though. Jamal Charles is NOT one of the players leaving though.

Might be time for the Falcons to part ways with Matty Ice.

Matty Ice isnt the problem. Im obviously not a falcons fan, so I think im pretty objective. Heres my take:

Signing S JAckson was bad. Knowing his soft tissue injury history, at least Turner was durable. Hindsight is 20/20 but they would have been better off signing a Willis Mcgahee or something , just someone serviceable. I compare Jackson to what the Pats did with Amendola and ill get back to that in a minute.

Allowing Roddy White to play the first 4-5 games of the season. STUPID. He never got fully healed, then pulls a hammy, waste of a season for him. He was such a go to guy for Matt last year.

    Julio Jones, Bad luck.

Letting Abraham walk. While on paper I think they made the right move, Osi has not filled his role well. Abraham doesnt make or break the falcons, but it gives them experience and talent on a pass rush that is NON EXISTENT. Ask yourself would you rather have Abraham NOW, or no pass rush at all. At least Abraham gave them a shot at a pass rush.

Osi- Not sure if its the defensive schemes or what, but he just doesnt look like hes being used right. I know the local sports guys talked about OSI not being a stand up type of LB/DB and they are making him play like that. Maybe its out of his comfort zone?

The biggest problem is Thomas Dimitrov (SP?) not drafting and reloading the O-Line. All the stuff above is one thing, injuries happen, hard to pay a 30+ year old Abraham who is clearly at the end of his career, etc. But not drafting competent O-Line when you KNOW youre going to pay your QB 100+ million dollars is just dumb. I would have let Trufant go, and drafted O-Line in a STACKED o-line draft to protect matty Ice. They won games last year because of OFFENSE. Now they have no offense, and an even shittier defense.

As much as I have a sore spot over Welker for 2 huge drops, it sure would have been nice to have him right now without Hernandez and with Gronk being hurt.

I believe in Amendolas talent, but if he cant stay on the field long enough to get chemistry with Brady, whats the point. He needs a breakout game, and soon.

HOLY shit at the shootout going on between me and Dirty Birds. CJ vs DB, Romo vs Stafford, nuts. I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE STARTED JOSH GORDON. I benched him at the last minute because I was expecting a breakout game from Amendola and didnt like Gordon vs KC with a new QB.

SOmetimes im a homer to my own demise.

So much young QB talent in the NFL right now and looks like there's even more on the way. I dont understand these teams latching on to avg QBs for 100+ million dollars. A team like the rams or browns would probably gut their roster to have Matt Ryan. Looking ahead to how much young talent is on the horizon, id be looking to sell deal Ryan away and draft another QB. The Vikings would probably trade AP for Ryan................

I'd deal Ryan and try to position for Manziel in the draft.... which should be easy, because he's probably a 5-15th pick

Look i know its easy to trash Matt Ryan, but I look at it from a ranking standpoint.

    ELITE QBs
    Brady
    Peyton Manning
    Brees
    Rodgers

    Tier 2 QBs
    Matt Ryan
    Tony Romo
    Joe Flacco
    Matt Stafford
    Eli Manning
    Cam Newton
    RG3
    Kapernick
    Luck

    Tier 3 QBs
    Alex Smith
    Ponder
    Sanchez/Geno
    Palmer

I think Matt Ryan falls in the tony romo/stafford area, big numbers, not alot if any playoff victories. hes clearly a top 10 QB in the league. Youre a capitalist, you pay what the market bears. The market says you pay him 20 million a year.

He hasnt been the problem this year, its been the O Line and Def Line IMO. Its easy to pin it on him. Look at the Bucs game from last week, single handed won that game with not a top 20 receiver or RB at his disposal.

I dont think Mike Smith is an elite coach, and i think their defensive schemes are old and boring. When you have no running game, no protection, and no pass rush, you just dont have a good team.

Also not sold on drafting franchise QB. Look how many busts there have been. You have a bird in the hand with Ryan. hes capable of winning.

No way in hell the Falcons part ways with him anytime in the forseeable future. He isnt have a very good season, but either is anyone else on the team. He has played very well a couple times this year and they still lost. It is time to start parting ways with the aging talent to try to free up some money for 1 or 2 big name free agents on the defense and O line though.

I saw this coming the day I heard the Falcons signed him. He has never been able to stay healthy and IMO he is only a slightly above average back to begin with.

Johnny Manziel has no shot in the NFL if they want him to be a pocket passer. He might be OK between injuries in Philly, but he will never been a long term NFL pocket QB.

The draft is where teams that win year after year are built. If the Falcons are serious about rebuilding they need to bump the top 7 pick they are playing themselves into right now in exchange for a late round first and early 3rd rounder, maybe late 2nd rounder. They dont need elite talent right now they need guys that can pull their weight and contribute for 16 weeks. After this year Osi should be gone. I would probably say goodbye to Jackson, Snelling, and whatever defensive secondary guys you can get away from without a huge cap hit.

I dont think the Falcons will deal Ryan..... but i think they should.

I think Manziel is gonna be fine in the NFL.

Hes like Alex Smith with slightly more offensive upside. He did win a ring, and he tied (or broke) montanas TD2INT record last year. Went to playoffs first 5/6 years of his career. Gotta put him in low tier 2

Matt Ryan has been a better QB than Mike Vick. Agree?

both being healthy? nah, i'd take vick...vick still has legs, and he's even more lethal w/ a solid OL. Eagles havent had a solid OL in seasons..you cant expect anyone to perform well in that all the time, only QB that has is Rodgers, not even Brady has this year

Then youll never accept Matt Ryan. Matt Ryan is far and away a much better QB than Michael Vick. Staying healthy and durable is part of the job. Ask the Eagles how good Vick is. Ask the Bears how good Cutler has been in the last 2 seasons.

matt Ryan is not only durable, hes dependable, and he wins games. Vick has had decent teams, and when they get going, he gets hurt.

Vicks career will be looked back on as mediocre. A guy that came out of college as a stud, had 3-4 good years, and then crashed and never panned out. He will be mentioned in the same breath as guys like Jake Plummer.

Matt Ryan, this season is OVER, but, if the falcons are smart, he has 2-3 years coming where they can make a run. I agree with Jimmy, they will gut where they can and reload. If they are smart, they are shopping Tony G for a draft pick. SJAX is gone, unless he is super cheap. Im not sure what his contract is, i heard it was very cheap. they need an O-Line. I think that is where they address their needs first in the draft

Seems like you have selective memory with Vick. Vick has only had 1 above avg season his entire career and he hasnt played an entire season since 2006.

The window is closing for Vick. This Eagles team is the best opportunity ever for him to showcase his ability and it doesnt look like he's gonna be healthy enough to do anything. If Vick cant come back and make a serious statement to end this season on a good note, i think his days as a starting NFL QB may be over with. Sure, there are a lot worse QBs in the NFL right now than Vick, but Vick wouldnt fit any of those teams. Chip Kelly's Eagles is the perfect marriage for Vick, its now or never.

I'd take Ryan over Vick, but wouldnt be thrilled about having either.

you just said Ryan wins games, but they are 2-5...i cant take that seriously, sorry.

Chip Kelly wont be w/ the Eagles for long, his one game hit wonder was a fluke. He focused on the offensive weapons instead of solidifying the OL and defense. like i said...healthy qb to healthy qb, i'd take Vick over Ryan, not anyday, but i'd pick him over Ryan. w/ the same weapons, and Vicks legs vs Ryan...i think Vick team would win more times than not.

I feel sorry for Gonzalez though..he came back thinking he had a playoff contending team to return to and came back to a 2-5 team that lost to the Jets and Geno.

Would be a "feel good" story if the Falcons sent Tony back to the Chiefs..... but the Falcons arent going to admit their season is over just yet, even though it is. They'll be lucky to win 8 games.
