Little off topic here...... but seeing all these problems teams are having and the mighty that have fallen.....

It kinda puts it in perspective how great the Patriots really are. For so many teams in the NFL it seems like the planets have to align perfectly for them to reach the top and then it's even harder for them to stay there. The Patriots remain the most consistence franchise in the NFL and it certainly isnt for a lack of adversity. All of these justifications we're offering up for the Falcons season, have also happened to the Patriots.

Vick is 33, his athleticism left him 2-3 years ago.

I agree his O-Line sucks, but so do a ton of other teams. Brady is 6-2. Rodgers has a SB. Brees doesnt have a stout O-Line. There are TONS of QBs with bad O-lines that are elite. Vick is just not one of them.

I hope they trade him for a draft pick because that would be a cool thing to do. But it would infuriate falcons fans way too much because some of them are delusional thinking they can still be a 10 win team

Vick doesnt have time to do a Derrick Rose...... Rose is young.... Vick's better days are behind him and he's playing for probably the only team in the NFL who would cater to his abilities. A lot of Vick's issues with his line are his inability to lead them. Brady and Manning make their lines better, they adjust assignments, change plays.... actually understand defenses..... Vick snaps the ball and wings it. If not for his amazing physical attributes, he wouldnt have a place in the NFL.

Vick's legacy will be a story of what might have been. He's just now starting to develop mentally as a leader..... his NFL career started in 2001. He's about 10 years to late.... now that his mind is catching up to his body, his body is on the decline.

you say tons...but brady is struggling and his age is catching up w/ him, he was renowned for taking all no namers and making them household names. Brees and Rodgers are still doing numbers...but outside of those...whose really doing great things? as of now though, Vick's days of being a starter are numbered i'd agree, but i'm talking prime for prime (health included), i'd take vick. i'm just not a Ryan fan

it took his fall for him to mature i'd agree...sorta like Vince Young...difference between those 2, VY didnt solidify himself as a good/great QB before he melted down in Tennessee, and that's gonna follow him for his 'career' or what's left of it. Sucks because if him and Fisher had no ill feelings i'd be 99% sure the Rams would have picked him up and signed him right after Bradfords injury

As much as I have a sore spot over Welker for 2 huge drops, it sure would have been nice to have him right now without Hernandez and with Gronk being hurt.

Luckily for Welker, the game deciding pass will likely be thrown to Demarius, Julius or Decker..........


We've yet to see whether this deal was good or not. Welker has been one of the best regular season WRs in the NFL lately...... and he still dropped THE pass the cost the Patriots a superbowl.....


If Amendola gets in that situation and catches that pass, no matter what he season looked like, it was a good movie. Patriots dont aim to win 15-16 games or throw 50 TD passes...... rings.... it's all that matters. Ring isnt on the line yet.
