Sounds to me like you wanted skeleteons of their former selves to be the brunt of their own jokes just for a nostalgic moment. How much sense does that make for a movie - reminds me or 60 year old Sly in the Rambo movie - we get it Sly - you're a bad mother fucker - but sit the fuck down. A team of old guys trying to intimidate the young'uns would probably be more new/refreshing than a team of young schmucks re-hashing bad jokes from the early '80's.
Mr. T with arthritis, Hannibal trying to give up cigars, Face losing his youthful looks, etc etc there are a lot of new ways they could go with the original cast.
The new cast... it will just be like hearing someone tell a joke they heard from someone else.
But every1 is entitled to their own view about it. As I said - guys who remem the show will def miss certain things... but the movie has a chance to get some new/young eyes on it... they will have a much more neutral view and give the analysis a much more fair look. What a shame that some1 who has never seen the series will give it a better chance than some1 who actually is a fan of the original. Sounds to me like it should be the other way around.
