I don't condone what he did but I also HATE that he gets all this attention when there are so many bigger problems in our nation. Hell if you're not a young, white kid from suburban america and you go missing don't plan on your picture being on the news and people giving a damn. But the press has time to follow him and other actors, celebs 24/7!! I'm done w/ my rant.

He may not be ignorant he just didn't have a good way of saying it. We hunt turkey, ducks, deer, and plenty of other animals around the country but b/c he killed man's best friend it's a crime?? I have a dog and I love him but I don't see the severity of him doing this. In plenty of other countries they allow cockfighting, dog fighting, and even mongoose and snake fighting.Originally Posted by tatodotcom
Hell we inhumane animals on a daily basis here in america. There's bullriding-you strap on the back of a bull while some other guy yanks on his nuts to the point that he bucks, kicks, and fights and they don't go to jail. It's actually a million dollar sport. We cut the mane off horses to use for women's hair, **** we even kill horses for dog food!!
It's all how you look at things, if they're gonna charge Vick they should charge a whole lot more companies and people out there for inhumanity of animals.

Even if you don't think it is wrong, there are federal laws that disagree with you. Vick knew what he was doing was wrong in this society and he did it anyways, and got caught. As a result, Vick deserves to be punished. /argument

and he more than the minimum sentence because without his money there is no way the size of the dog fighting operation would have been possible. he also smoked pot while on probation. he is an idiot who ruined his career and let down millions of people who looked at him as a role model. its just one thing after another with him. and i hope he never represents an nfl team again.

Look at ole Jerel getting all political and stuff.....
Vick is going to get out way before that 23 months. He'll play in the NFL again, but will likely not ever be on the same level he was before all this happened.
Personally, I think he needs to take his pill and be done with it. The media needs to let him be AFTER he does his time and call it a day. I certainly don't condone for one sec what he and his retard friends call a "sport", but once the guy serves his time.....he should be allowed to go back to do his thing. Remember, this is America. Where you can kill people and then come back to make yourself a millionaire if you want to. If he serves his time, then he should have the chance to do whatever he wants AFTER that. ANY time in Federal Prison is no joke. He's not likely to not be bothered too much since he's a rich celebrity, but I certainly wouldn't want to be in there for a minute let alone a year.
Some people would have us make Vick wear his Scarlet Letter forever. While I think the guy is an idiot and what he did was stupid and barbaric, IF he serves his time then we just need to let him be. Isn't that the way its supposed to work?

lol @ mike vick getting raped in jail for 23 months..

how will he get out before 23 months? he already gave up his right to appeal in the plea bargain. and how can you say he'll play again after being out of the nfl for a minimum of 3 years? there are better athletes out there that are coming up and who will show more respect off the field. not attacking you just find it hard to believe. but yes, once he is done serving his time, it should be over with, although it will never beOriginally Posted by Jaimecbr900

We cut the mane's off horses to use for women's hair. At least the "pain" that the horse is going through has a positive result in the end.
We kill horses for dog food. Since when is killing livestock for food immoral?
Vick made dogs fight to the death in unnatural situations. Vick made dogs fight for others' entertainment and so they could gamble on it (also illegal). Vick killed multiple dogs just because they couldn't fight. Any positive from any of these? No.
These are totally different. It might be how you look at things, but don't cut out the big picture to help prove your argument.

and i'm not the only one who thinks this. espn thinks so as well, as well as 3 nfl coaches stated on nfl network.

Because this is America. Where your 23 month sentence doesn't mean 23 months. It means maybe 1/2 that on a good day and bad lawyering.Originally Posted by tatodotcom

Because the guy is not going to forget, not that he ever knew howhow can you say he'll play again after being out of the nfl for a minimum of 3 years?, how to throw a ball or run just because he's in jail. He'll be really rusty and no where near top shape, but he's not going to suddenly become some kind of couch potato either. The guy is or atleast was an athlete. A very good athlete at that. He's not too old. There have been many athletes that come out of "retirement" all that the time and perform. Most are no where near the same level they once were, but certainly they don't embarrass themselves either.
The guy will get picked up by somebody somewhere. If for nothing else, as a publicity stunt to draw in bigger crowds just because of the same curiosity sparked in this thread. People will indeed pay money to see "Vick's return", even if he throws 5 interceptions and doesn't gain a yard. He's famous like that. He fills seats. That's really all whomever gets him cares about. Look at T.O. The guy is bafoon, but he fills seats and his bank account because of it. Vick will be no different IF he wants to play again.

Maybe he'll get shived in prison.

T.O. is an a-s-s, but he draws big money because he draws big crowds. Vick is the same. He's a-s-s, but he will one day (even if it's out of morbid curiosity) draw a crowd again. If I was a team that wasn't having sold out games all the time, I'd pick him up (he'll probably not demand anywhere near the same money when he's fresh out of jail too) and use him to fill some seats even if it's short lived. Sign him on a yr contract. If he doesn't make your money back, release him and call it a day.

Vick will play again and the whichever teams that picks him up will make a fortune off his return and not to mention all the endorsement deals he will pick up again.....
the falcons will be dumb for not picking him up again because most of his loyal fans are in atlanta and they are the ones that will pay all the money for tickets and jerseys and what not.
I think miami will pick him up...he did buy a condo in southbeach so i guess we'll see what happens over time.

Who would endorse Vick after he gets out of jail?
Hell Kobe still doesn't have all of the sponsors he had before he raped that girl.

he had a deal with rebook i believe so it's up to nike, adidas, converse, **** maybe even vans will pick him up.
But vick probably has so much money lying around he could make his own shoe/shirt brand

Don't forget that he failed the drug test in september. Of course that is going to make the sentence a bit stiffer, also one of the other guys Vick was convicted with got the same sentence.

				Falcons monday night football tonight.....
i will be out and about with my vick jersey on! W00t

easy because its the fed prison he has to serve at least 85% i think and the last month of the sentence will be served in a halfway house and he was already in jail for almost a month voluntarily. so he will more than likely be out in 19-20months and that not including if they give him good behavior release, which could drop it town to 18months. and he will play in the NFL again. I will GUARANTEE that.Originally Posted by tatodotcom
