Micheal Vick Sentenced to 23 Months!!

I went away from this thread cause its redundant.

Dog fighting - Anyone convicted is considered a sick individual, the sentiment is that anyone who would participate is heartless and seriously disturbed.

Get my point? Difference is one person gets locked away for up to 5 years, the other no jail time depending on the case.

I have zero sympathy who would do anything to a child, let them go to the chair for all I care. Dog fighting is subjective, and I am not going to argue it because I cannot.. it is wrong.

What I can argue is the punishment.

1 a: to impose a penalty on for a fault, offense, or violation b: to inflict a penalty for the commission of (an offense) in retribution or retaliation

A penalty is used to detour the behavior, Vick has lost in excess of $100 Million dollars and most likely his livelyhood.. he has lost more than most of us will ever see in a lifetime.. THAT is a penalty and I guarantee without jail time Vick would never want to see another Pit Bull again.. so again I feel the punishment does not fit the crime because he has been well penalized more than any of us ever would without any chance of commiting the crime again.

We got rich white bitches and dudes getting away w/ DUI, theft, and even murder. They'll get a fine and light, BS jail time.

I'LL BE THE IGNORANT ONE TO SAY IT. IF IT WAS A RICH, WHITE PERSON-THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL HE'D GET 23 MONTHS EVEN IF HE PLED GUILTY. I'll be the Kanye West of IA and say, "You can't tell me nothing!!" Plain and simple. My debate is not whether Vick was wrong nor right b/c clearly he was wrong. He even pleaded to that. Now was that excessive punishment by the Federal Government(some white holier than though MF)-I SAY YES!!.

Look at the law change that just occured in the Supreme Court. Generally it would take 10 times the amount of powder cocaine(generally sold and used by whites) compared to crack concaine(generally sold and used by blacks) to yield the same jail time in Federal and State Courts. So if you're a poor black kid selling crack rock on the corner you'll get a GUARANTEED 10yrs for 10 grams of crack cocaine. While the rich white kid on the other side of town trying to be hard gets off w/ 1 yrs probation and a fine for 10grams of powder. If he rats on his source and maybe they find 100grams of powder cocaine at his stash house then he'll get MAYBE 10yrs-generally they'll get less!!

If you want more proof I've got plenty. Look at more than half the judicial rulings in TX and LA and you'll see there is a definite difference in jail time given to black compared to whites that commited the same crime. Some even get no jail time and just probation. Why do you think blacks are so mad about the Jena 6 or Genarlow Williams.

maybe crack gets you more time because its 10x more addictive and crack users and dealers commit 100x the crimes that those selling and using powder are. Powder is still a rich mans drug and because of that most can afford the habit. The dealers are aware of this and are generally less violent. You also dont see many kids (16 and under) using and selling powder. You see alot of dealers selling crack before they can drive.
