Default rear tow hook install.. super easy...

    rear tow hook install:

cars: civic and tegs from 92 to 2012.

skill level.. 1 out of 10 ( stupid easy )

    before install:

    tools needed:
    -18mm box wrench
    -18mm socket wrench
-1/2 torque wrench ( you really dont need one i just like to use them, better safe them sorry )
    - lock tight.

with my kit it came with:
    -1 rear tow hook
    -1 clamp
-1 set of bolts with 4 washers

    step1:
take you tow hook and clamp and bolt with washers that comes with kit.
    step2:
put one bolt into the center of the stock tow hook and screw one hand tight and do the same thing for the front hole just on the outside of the oem tow hook.
    picture:

    step3:
once both bolts are tight enough take you 18mm box wrench and your 18mm socket wrench and tighten both bolts. i used lock tight during this step, i like to be better safe then sorry.

    step4:
check over all your work, and if you like torque down the bolts to about 40 lbs.. i did this just because, you can do it if you like.

I like how you make it easier for people to steal your car.

But I already have tow hooks. Seems similar to taking the autozone lights and mounting them on your headlights.

Cars come with tow hooks factory.

Mounting a tow hook to a tow hook is like mounting aftermarket headlights on top of factory headlights.

I cant believe there is a diy for this. If you cant figure this out you dont need to be modifying a car what so ever.
