You need a better location than your driveway.
agreed. was a spur of the moment thing. its hard to get these people to drive anywhere for pics.

AFA HOLLYWOOD PREMIER LEAGUE EST. 1998
oh shit not my car lol anyways.
Lol @ Risers..
The 1st two valve cover shots look bleh, the third one looks nice thoI'm no photog tho
BUILT NOT BOUGHT .........
The only problem I see with the third valve cover shot is the dullness of the shot since the cover is red. Maybe if there wasnt so much light in the background it would have turned out better. Also the next to last pic is too blurry almost like too much movement.
What kind of camera?
Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.
open your aperture up for shots like i think you were going for in the first picture. you were trying to blur the del sol out right?
heres a couple examples of mine.

Great advice. Your DOF is weak, and combined with the poor focus of what I would guess would be the subject in most of the images, we aren't quite sure what to look at.
What kind of camera are you using? Even if you have a PAS, you should be able to still produce quality pictures.
camera is a sony a330 dslr. problem with movement is the steady shot does not work all the time. was not using a tripod as i should be.
you dont need a tripod for day shots. neither of the ones i post were on a tripod. is steady shot sonys version of vibration reduction "VR" on nikon lens? the best thing you can do is get with someone that can show you hands on how to get quality shots with out a tripod or "VR". keep at it and you will get it.
yes steady shot is same as vr. im thinking of upbgrading it to one model higher to keep my lens and stuff. i do need someone to show me how to get little better pics
messing around with some settings. kinda late and dark tho. changed file to large size. raw and jpeg iso at 3200. under p setting.

You should invest in (and use) a tripod, a circular polarizer, a couple of remote flashes/strobes with lightstands. You don't have to spend a lot.
Additionally, you should read, "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Petersen, and frequent some of the car strobist forums. See this thread - The automotive strobist setup pic thread - Canon Digital Photography Forums .
Make sure that you nail, focus, composition, and exposure. If you shoot in RAW, you can dial in WB and contrast in post.
Shooting car events is different, of course. I usually slap on my CPL onto a wide angle, use a small flash for interiors, and carry a tripod if bracketing or at night.
