Damn, dude! If I were going to buy another off road vehicle, I'd come to you. This thing is going in the right direction (even if it stops here, it's perfect).

Hahaha, thanks dude! I've got a winch bumper/winch lined up next and then I plan to regear and lock it. Should be pretty solid then, then maybe some skid plates and call it day for my use.

Looks pretty good man! Keep the progress going!

Had binding on the transfer case yoke and rear driveshaft, so I dropped the transfer case to install a slip yoke eliminator (SYE). It does away with the stock tail housing and mainshaft/slip yoke for a fixed yoke to run with a slip driveshaft or cardan joint driveshaft. Luckily I can use a FRONT shaft from the same model Cherokee, so I'll be grabbing one at PAP over the next week or so and then reinstalling everything next weekend if everything goes to plan. I'll probably be replacing the trans mount, cross member with a heavy duty one, the drivers motor mount, and the front rotors while I'm at it! I haven't driven it in about a month at this point so I'm ready to get it going again!

Yep, theres a badass privately owned rock crawling place in Dawonsville, plus there are a lot of forestry/timber roads around here that people wheel on.

Yea hes cool as hell! We rode all over that place in his bad ass ScottyBobby buggy at like 2am. He asked me 2 questions before i jumped in...."do you have enough beers?" and "do your buddies have winches bc they are gonna need it"...that ride beat the hell out of any ride in a sports car.

Got a front driveshaft today, now I have both driveshafts ready, the SYE installed, and I even went ahead and picked up a new transmission mount. Hopefully tomorrow is productive!

Nice I want to do the SYE but not to that point yet. I did replace my leaf springs today and I was surprised how easy it was and how awesome it looks without the sagging leafs.

Thanks man.... I stopped loving it when it was a driveway ornament....but I'm happy now that its back together. With the new leaf springs/sye drive shafts combo it rides better than it ever has!

Thanks dude! I measured my pinion angle today, I'm needing about 7 degree shims to get it right. Luckily my buddy has some I can use! Next up is looking like a Powertrax front and rear locker (convert rear to 29 spline), chromoly shafts and 4.56 gears!

Sound like a good plan. I got to get a front bumper for mine so I can throw my winch on. Then I want to regear the axles (I'm running 3.07s right now) then a locker up front. Later on I'm going to upgrade the rear to a Ford 8.8. and it goes on and on.

I should have my bumper done in the next week or two and I will put the winch on after that, I am running 3.55s and it is a dog with the tires I'm running. I would have probably done that axle swap if I didn't already have an 8.25. I think they are good axles and very underrated.

JCR Offroad rack mounts to weld to my rack!

10500lb cable winch and a used 10500lb synthetic rope.

Also went ahead and did an H4 headlight swap. They are SO much better than the sealed beam!

New factory 15x8 Gambler wheels. One had a slight bend in the lip but it'll be ok for a spare/the price I paid for 5! The 3 hour trip to Carrolton and back was hellacious though.

Thanks dude! I am hoping to have all of the parts for my gears by the end of this month, I also want to get the tires mounted and balanced but I have already shelled out $150 doing that on the jeep alone this year... So that might wait until the first of the year or thereafter.

I know your pain on the money. I just bought a transmission mount for my 87 with the stupid Peugeot BA-10 transmission and it was $88 vs the $23 for the ax-15 mount. O and the valve cover gasket was $38 just for the gasket... I was like holy crap this sucker better not ever leak.

Tomorrow is going to be rough I'm fitting the gas tank and t-case skids along with replacing the trans mount and valve cover, and getting my bent rim swapped out for a new one then having a 32" spare mounted on the bent one.

Club is having a ride a Beasleys Knob in Blairsville Saturday and I want to make sure I don't bash something important on any of the rocks up there.
