Got started on the bumper today. Used a TJ winch plate as a starting base, and a scratch and dent stinger I got at work. This was about 5 hours of work with a food/hardware run!

The wheels look a little cambered from the panorama shot I took to get the whole front end. Hopefully we can finish up with a full day tomorrow!

Dang that bumper looks strong. Looks really good too and the black grill is a nice touch I painted mine to and I think it looks so much better than all that fake chrome.

Time for a paint job? I ended up painting my grill after I painted the Jeep because the grill didn't match the Satin paint job.

I got the rims swapped over to my Gamblers, I've got to get some wheel spacers though they currently rub the very outer most lug on the tire on the outside of the leaf spring.

I also hooked my winch up and swapped the cable for the synthetic rope. That saves about 30lbs on the front end. While at PullAPart today I also managed to pick up a drivers mirror, an ash tray, a fan shroud (rare to find in good shape), and a FACTORY front skid plate....I had one of the most successful trips to a junkyard I've ever had....lol

Mine were on the Jeep when I bought it and I can't see paying for a different set when I don't really care what they look like. I do like the ones you got tho.

Mine are going to get scratched, dented and probably bent at some point so maybe one day I'll change it up. LOL

Good man, staying busy. You'll have to bring the Jeep up one weekend when I have the Toyota going and we'll do a little wheeling.

All in all had a good time, the YJ went down after that puddle sadly, it's a 350/5speed and some trash in there got his slave cylinder line. :-/ The XJ handled everything we did with no problems to report. We did some more trail oriented stuff but I was driving so I didn't get too many pictures of that stuff.

LOL that last pic should be in the RR catalog as the pic for the straps!

I can't help but wonder what your XJ looks like with no fender flares, trimmed nice, with its current setup....
