IT REALLY! started in europe, because they cant have their wheels sticking past the fender or they will get ticketed and or not pass inspection. So they started to add camber, and stretch the tires so that they still have the wide wheels without the issue of the wheel sticking out pass the fender..

when you stretch a tire it stiffens the side wall, therefore it pretty much eliminates sidewall flexing.

o ok. the next question. why is it that majority of the "stretched wheel" cars i see are front wheel drive if its for drifting? lol

you know how it works, it turned into a style. And even in america having wheels outside of the fender can get you a ticket....but its just not that serious here. And out inspections arent as in depth like everywhere else.

I have 245s up front and 275s out back. Will be going with 285s (or as big as I can fit) once I mount my wheels.

Yeah, I will be running 20x8.5s and 20x10s. I think I can only fit 285s on the rear.

Only reason I didn't go with 19s. However, 19s are cheaper than 20s, and just as attainable now, so I hear. haha.

With the 205s stretched, they spin more like 185s. With the power I'm making, I should be okay sliding. --we'll add more power later.
