Default Tire Stretch on some 15s...

I know their are mixed feelings about tire stretching. I'm just posting these up to share for those that may have interest. Enjoy.

The stretch on the wheels is just right. They are 195/50/15 [Kumho Ecsta] on 9s and 205/50/15 [Falken rt-615] on 10s. Wheels are Simmons B45 5-spoke.

Yes, there are mixed feelings about tire stretch. But again, their opinion doesn't matter to you. Do what you like.

Edit: Oh, and Simon reminded me. I agree, it looks ugly as fuck, too.

Not for me, but you acknowledged that not everyone will like it so I'll spare you the rant on why I don't like it.

Definitely needs some 205's. But it's not too ridiculous and those wheels are the tits.

yes some people are too thick headed to understand the reasons behind stretching. and i love the people who constantly say its so unsafe.

just a question, why was tire stretching started? does it have a purpose? i guess if you think it looks good then go for it. I've always tried putting as much rubber on a wheel as possible. Need grip. putting 315s on a 10 inch wheel. not a 205 lol. just wondering...

stretch is simply means to fit a bigger/wider wheel and still keep the "low" stance. I dont have anything against a little stretch. Charlies si imo is not super stretched. But stretching a tire to the point the lip of the rim is just completely exposed, to me is just dumb. But i do respect it as a different type of style....just not my style.

along with what mike said alot of people do it for drifting, and in puregroove's case its probably for fitment and drift

it helps with drifting how? i guess less rubber on the pavement = easier to slide and spin, but why not in that case just get a skinnier wheel? or add more power to spin off a set of 245s? Just questioning. Not judging anythign anybody is doing. To each their own.
