yeah thats what joe keeps saying about registering it, but i know it can be done... theres silvias and skylines running around... i posted a thread to see if someone knows the difficulties of it.

i think it would be pretty cool... i gotta see if anyone replies to that thread

simply put, if you do get it registered its through a loop hole in a state that isn't as stringent on imported vehicles, and even then after you've gotten it titled in that particular state you've gotta then transfer the title to Georgia and hope they don't give you grief over that. its not a very easy or straight cut process. if you do decide to go for it, i would definitely just pay someone to go through the registration and shipping hassles. and even AFTER all that and you actually get it, and the end of the day you've still got a slow automatic EK hatch with the steering on the wrong side which leaves you open for us postal service duty and thats about it.

haha... its not always about the speed... it would be purebred honda, which you have to appreciate it... and its clean as sh*t!... AND its only got 50,000 miles on it haha...

but yeah i would probably register it in some place in alabama and the place i would get it from gives you a price for everything till it gets to the port so the car ends up being a pretty good price for a 96 EK w/ 50,000 miles

dude it was just a del sol... im not getting over $7000. i'll be lucky if i can squeeze $6000 out of them. and to get that i'll probably have to send them to wikipedia to show them that they only sold 75,000 del sols in all 5 years in the US, and show receipts for all the things i have done, and then send them to autotrader to show them what factory 94 del sol VTEC's are going for...

but thanks for the offer... dont get me wrong... i'd drive the sh*t out of it... i just cant afford it.

    Default EK all the way!

I'd go with the EK. It is an automatic, but its not hard to slap a B16 with a MT in there. Just get a few more interior pieces, but a small price to pay for a sweet lookin' hatch!

That's a nicer way to say what I'm thinking....

"Why are you sticking with compact FWD Hondas only?"

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

thats what i want... i like those body styles and i like the options for upgrades and the fuel economy and the price of parts and the price of the vehicles themselves...

i LOVED my sol... so i have kinda decided that i want to do what i can to fix mine... i think it'll be the easiest most cost efficient thing to do right now.

The last del sol looks clean and well maintained.....and work your butt off to buy your car back do the swap and walaa. or if you go with the right hand drive you can alway do the manual swap. But is the ek going to be in your price range after its here?

I FOUND MORE OPTIONS!!!!!... anyone know much about bimmers and how they hold up??

both are in my hopeful budget as well as many more... but these are the shining stars

and i dont give a sh*t if they are A/T... i will be putting 19-20's and a system and be done... i'll have a honda later to tinker with... if i got a bimmer, i would just ride out like i did in the big dodge haha, but with better MPGS!
