those suckers dart across the road (not enough time to avoid them), and I would rather hit a deer than to swerve out of the way and get owned by a tree or another car. This is the reason why I have hit so many animals, but at the same time prolly saved me from wrecking my car as a result

That sucks, but it seems like he still did pretty well in the end. Biggest thing being that he didn't run off the road (seemingly) afterward which is why most deer involved accidents are bad. And he didn't get a busted windshield/deer passenger for the ride home.
