The m52 has thicker sleeves and the initial cost is less...plus you can put in the M3 cams ($300 used) and valvetrain and gain quite a bit. I'm sticking with the M52

The Swedes put S38's in e30's all the time and there's at least one running around Atlanta.When I read the title I almost thought it was going to be an E30 with a Boosted M6 motor in it...LOL
Great cars all around though
The S50/52 is fine to boost, especially if the car already comes with it...I'm too cheap though, i'd buy a 328i and put suspension, wheels, and a turbo on it for not much more than a clean M3
