Which one? The white e30 has an S50 in it ('95 M3), the M6 has a build S38 with a GT35R, the clean red convertible (interior shot w/ megaskeet) is a turbo'd beast! The silver e30 in the first pic is just a DD...

Nice cars. Really like the little DD e30.

If I was the owner of an original Dinan M6 turbo though I would be taking it to the best Dinan shop in town, also happens to be one of a handful of shops in the world that is authorized to do Dinan S3 M5's. That is just me though.

I actually talked with the owner of the car. Very nice car for sure.

Oh yes. It was quick back in the day when Dinan did it! They even made a rare twin turbo kit for 850's.

Is that Hodnett's clean red vert with his custom turbo kit?

It's a blast to drive! Currently running an open header so you can't really even hear yourself think and when it backfires feels like you just ran over a truck load of apples banging against your feet

Here's the cars owner throwing a few donuts in it, lolol...

The m52 has thicker sleeves and the initial cost is less...plus you can put in the M3 cams ($300 used) and valvetrain and gain quite a bit. I'm sticking with the M52

PM CardCounter on bimmerforums. M50 or M52 I don't remember exactly but he got up into the 600s on stock stuff. Metal head gasket if I remember correctly.

I could be wrong but I believe that was the stuff.

704whp with Cometic 0.140 head gasket and ARP head studs...i know allll about that car It was driven for quite a while in the 600's until they decided to do a day of dyno abuse putting down the 700+ until it bent a rod. The m52 is easily reliable at 500whp with stock internals.

There we go. Haven't read up on it in awhile. Knew it was something like what I said.

The Swedes put S38's in e30's all the time and there's at least one running around Atlanta.

The S50/52 is fine to boost, especially if the car already comes with it...I'm too cheap though, i'd buy a 328i and put suspension, wheels, and a turbo on it for not much more than a clean M3
