nope... AAP (R2B2) has it now. Dropped it off today. Thats what they are going to do is run the wiring harness, front engine mount, fuel tank is getting hooked up, Clutch and throttle cable, and a few other things.

6-8 hours. $80 an hour i believe is what they charge for labor. $80 tow bill. need a battery and maybe new clamps and a few little things. He said that it looked like i had everything already and shouldnt need to order parts. I'll know for sure by wed or thurs.

There are a lot of Turbo Upgrade options to go with. Depending on which kit and how much im gonna spend on it the kits come with Injectors, fuel pump, turbo, manifold, etc...

I have a HKS SSQ BOV i need to pick up and about to get the Greddy Emanage Ultimate EMS maybe this weekend.

Im shooting for around 300hp/280tq before next summer.

Stock the JDM gen2 comes with 225/200 and runs between 13.5-14.0 1/4mi depending on the conditions and driver.

yeah i have been doing some homework on these things and there is a lot of cool things to buy....

First project will be Cooling... there are lots of cool ways to modify the MR2 for better cooling.

1st thing will be to get a CF Vented hood and angle the radiator back... im looking for a diagram or photo of this done. It is very effective if done right with custom sheet metal cut to create a Tunnel where the air goes into the front air dam then forced upward through the radiator and up and over the hood creating downforce as well....

only downside i heard that it severly affects the handling.

id just try to get it running first. WIthout knowing the complete condition of the motor, wiring , sensors, etc you may be in for a long haul.

Youll also need to drain the gas if it has sat that long

if i remember correctly thats already done. but heres what i'm going to guess needs be done.

    Motor mounts installed
    wiring harness done
guage cluster will need some work becuase if i remember right the 91 is a mechanical and the 93 is electronic
    exhaust
    new belts hoses clamps
    fluids
    fuel system flush
    clutch cable
    throtle cable
    brake system

cant think of anything else but when i went to go look at it thats what was what all i saw needed to be done. tank got the hard part of the swap done. got the motor in and swapped out the fuel pumps so chris has got a pretty good starting platform AAP will finish it and get it running in know time. Chris I gotta find the site but you dont necessarily need that emanage to get up around 300 whp i have a site that was really meant for the gen 3 swap but if swap the turbo and injectors you will already have a nice lil bump on your way to 300

AAP/R2B2 has it right now. They are finishing the swap. The engine has sat for about a year with NO fluids in it what so ever. They said its about 6-8 hours in labor and i believe they started on it today. should be done by monday or tuesday.

I basicly told them that when i pick the car up i want a strong running daily drivable car. I told them to make sure all of the lights work, compression is good, A/F is good, plugs, wires, distributer, etc...

They reconnecting the A/C lines, Fuel hose to fuel tank, battery, wiring harness, front motor mounts, removing N/A exhaust, few dyno pulls, yada yada....

im going to drive it for a good month before I start adding mods to the engine. want to make sure its going to be reliable first

good way to pop your motor

I would go with these mods before you decide to go with a standalone
    intake
    exhaust
    boost controller
    ats throttle inlet

    then
    intercooler
    turbo upgrade

    then
    walbro fuel pump
    standalone
    wolfkatz fuel rail
    injectors
    264 cams

after you do the intake, exhaust, and boost controller mods, the best mod after that is the intercooler mod. I really like the spearco intercooler and it makes a big difference in performance on the stock ct26 turbo

and as far as what everone else is telling me....

only mods im doing to the motor for starters is DP, exhaust, intake and cooling upgrades.... then just gonna save up for a Street brawler kit or Greddy turbo kit.... Tiger do u have a 3rd gen swap or 2nd gen???

i'd like to just get around 280-300whp

why not use an AFC for anything under 300whp? ive never seen a problem with them on other cars.

anything over 275-300, id gop straight to a powerFC or AEM

mrcontrols guide says you can tweak it a little with the afc since mr2 come factory running rich as he11, the few added ponies in my opinion are not worth spending all that money. Gen 2s I believe are known for popping when the afc is installed and this is with a good tuner.

I rather you get a greddy emange, I have atleast seen a few ppl make 400 without any problems so far.

The stock ECU will add lots of timing when you tweak the tune via the SAFC. There have been a few successes, but many, many bad endings.

My path to what he is looking for, power wise is:

    ATS CT27 Turbo
    ATS Cam Gears
    ATS ROM Tuned ECU
    ATS Bored out fuel rail
    ATS modified fuel pressure regulator
    HKS 264/256 Cams
KO Racing TKO 2.5" Exhaust w/7" Cans
    KO Racing DP
    Blitz SBC-iD Boost Controller
    Apex-i Intake
    SPEC Stage II Clutch

    Dyno'd @ 260 rwhp (90 degrees air temp) @ 15 psi

I had an ST205 A2W IC ready to install, and was planning on running at 17 psi which was expected to yield ~280rwhp.

This would be a safe and reliable setup.

Do it right. Don't use SAFC.
